Heridas de Amor - Episode 120

While aggressively kissing Miranda, Cesar snarled, "You're going to be mine, even though you don't want to." Miranda bit him and Cesar let her go. He asked, "Why did you do that?" and started to cry, saying he loved her.

Miranda said, "No, you don't know love. You only know how to cause pain." Cesar said she only loved Alejandro for his money, "I offer you a different world." Miranda replied, "Thank you, but I'm not interested. Get out."

Cesar said, "This is the last time we're going to see each other," hit her, then pushed her on the couch and started choking her, saying, "If you're not mine, you're not going to be anyone's, do you understand?" He choked Miranda to death, then said, "Forgive me, but you can't be another's."

However, it turned out that Cesar was imagining all of this (whew). Instead of killing Miranda, he just left.

Sofia told Liliana that she doesn't want to go to school because "My friends don't like girls who don't have a papa." Marisol urged Liliana to ask Alejandro to accompany Sofia to the school's father-daughter mini-Olympics.

Carola told Juan she heard from Veronica that Renata thinks she's pregnant, "But who is the father, you or Cesar?"

Alejandro told Renata he doesn't want to prevent Miranda from having children and knows she wants to marry another man (ie Fabricio). Renata said it's his duty to make Miranda happy.

Miranda read Florencia's last letter, which asked Miranda to help Fabricio get over her death and to fight for her happiness with Alejandro.

Alejandro told someone via phone that he knew a woman who was preparing chocolate with pre-Columbian secrets. He apparently convinced the person to do business with Miranda. Overhearing this, Vicente said, "How much you love Miranda." Alejandro said, "I love her more than my life." Liliana was eavesdropping on this conversation.

Liliana came into the office and weepily asked Alejandro to attend Sofia's father-daughter day at school. Alejandro hugged her and agreed, then thought, "It's not the girl's fault what happens between adults."

Marisol coached Sofia on what to do when she sees Alejandro, telling her to get his cell phone and call Miranda when he's not looking. Sofia agreed. Marisol thought, "Liliana is going to marry a millionaire, and I will be a beneficiary."

Fernanda and Juan went to the police and reported their suspicions about Bertha and Cesar. A cop told them, "When something happens, you have to notify the authorities immediately. You can't wait months and years." He said Cesar's blood type matching the blood on Guapo's handkerchief was only circumstancial, but agreed to investigate Cesar and Bertha anyway.

Renata told Veronica she's definitely pregnant and "I'm sure it is Cesar's." Veronica lectured her for not using protection, saying she hopes Renata doesn't have AIDS too. Renata said, "I don't want to be a mother." Juan arrived -- I was out of the room at the time, but I think he asked Renata if she was pregnant.

Cesar told Sanson to check all the hotels in the area for Luis Alberto and Nuria. He called his bank and went nuts when he learned that his accounts were empty, shouting at Sanson, "Look for that idiot, because I'm going to kill him!"

At the end of the episode, Liliana brought Alejandro some good news about his criminal case (I didn't catch exactly what she said, but he smiled).

Heridas de Amor - Episode 119

Juan and Fernanda told Alejandro that Charo was OK but wouldn't say a word about who shot her.

Miranda called Alejandro and said she needed to see him, Fernanda, and Bertha at the hacienda. Alejandro said he didn't think Bertha would come. Bertha said from the doorway, "Why not?" She took the phone and told Miranda she was busy but would think about it.

After hanging up, Bertha said she came to see Alejandro but would return later when he was alone "so we can talk freely about your father's inheritance."

After Bertha left, Fernanda and Alejandro argued because Fernanda wanted to denounce Bertha immediately. Alejandro asked her to give him time.

Liliana woke up with a hangover and remembered trying to kiss Alejandro. He said, "Try to control yourself." Liliana told him, "Miranda is very pretty, but I am too. She's capable of doing anything for you, but I am too." Alejandro rejected her advances.

Marisol (Liliana's friend) told Liliana that Sofia is suddenly the most popular girl at school because the other students think Alejandro is her father.

Fernanda brought Charo home from the hospital. Charo told Renata she just came to get her things and then she's going home to her mother. Fernanda asked Charo if Bertha shot her. Charo insisted she didn't see anything.

Veronica talked to Carola, Raul, Francisco, and Amparo about doing something to help children whose parents have died of AIDS.

Carola told Francisco and Amparo, "If Renata is pregnant, it isn't Juan's."

Roman brought divorce papers for Nuria to sign. She seems to be planning to marry Luis Alberto.

Renata told Fernanda she doesn't want to have a baby because it would make her fat and ugly. Charo ran in and said a man was at the door. Renata was afraid he came to seize their car, but it turned out he was returning their furniture, since apparently Alejandro paid their debts.

Alejandro met with some men who said they would trust him and invest in his business. Fabricio arrived and told Alejandro he was going to the hacienda. Alejandro said Fab. pretended he was going on business but really wanted to win Miranda back. Fab. said, "If Miranda's interested in me, what's the problem?" Al. shouted, "She is my wife!"

Bertha called Renata and arranged to meet her. Renata told Charo, "After everything Veronica told me, I need to say one or two things to this disgrace."

Miranda gave samples of her chocolate to two men who both instantly agreed to distribute it.

Cesar arrived and started shouting that Miranda always insults him. He demanded to speak to her employees. Miranda said she knew he was looking for Nuria and Luis Alberto, but he wouldn't find them at the hacienda. Cesar grabbed her by the throat and kissed her violently.

Heridas de Amor - Episode 118

After shooting Charo, Guapo checked her body and told Bertha she was still alive, then said, "Let's go for the child." Bertha said, "Rest in peace, Charo," and followed him.

Renata and Veronica, meanwhile, ran through the house with the baby. They found Charo and stood over her crying for a while before FINALLY escaping from the house via a passing taxi.

Unable to find the baby, Bertha told Guapo, "Charo was right. She is alone in the house." The phone rang and they heard Miranda saying on the answering machine that she had proof against Bertha (ie Florencia's pills).

Guapo left and Bertha wandered through the house alone, saying to herself, "All this is mine or nobody's! The days of glory for this family are over."

Francisco and Raul decided to go to the police to report Sanson's attack on Juan and Veronica.

Liliana got drunk at a restaurant and told her friend Marisol that she loves Alejandro. She jumped up and announced to everyone in the restaurant, "I love Alejandro Luque!" When Liliana went to the restroom, Marisol phoned Alejandro and asked him to bring some documents to Liliana.

When Al. arrived, Liliana was unconscious. Marisol left to pick up Sofia from school. Alejandro revived Liliana with coffee. She said she loved him, then apologized and said she wanted to forget it. Alejandro said, "Don't think about it," and said he would take her home.

Nuria and Luis Alberto visited Santiago and told him they plan to leave the country because they're afraid of Bertha and Cesar.

Fernanda told Juan that she wants to denounce Bertha to the police. Juan agreed. Renata and Veronica arrived with the baby and told them about Charo's shooting. Renata called the authorities and was told that someone else had already reported the shooting and Charo had been hospitalized.

Renata said maybe thieves attacked Charo. Fernanda said maybe it was Bertha. She called Miranda, who begged her to help Charo because "without her testimony, Alejandro is lost." Fernanda told Miranda that the blood on Guapo's handkerchief matches Cesar's blood type.

Vicente asked Fermin (the banker) to provide a sample of Bertha's handwriting.

Back at the hospital, Fernanda told Juan that Charo's condition is stable. Juan asked, "Do you suspect anyone?" and Fernanda said her heart is screaming that it was Bertha, then broke down in tears because she doesn't want to think that about her sister.

Fermin and Alejandro urged Santiago not to give up the priesthood. Fermin said Bertha did something(?) -- maybe opened an account in Santiago's name -- I didn't entirely understand. Santiago reluctantly told them to go ahead with their plan against Bertha. Alejandro assured him that they won't violate the confidentiality of what Bertha told him in confession.

Miranda asked Nati to who killed Gonzalo. Nati said it was not Guapo but "eyes of jade" (Cesar), and that's why Gonzalo's spirit can't rest (or something like that).

Miranda asked if Nati saw the shooting of Alejandro's father, and Nati said yes, but she won't reveal what she knows unless Fernanda, Alejandro, and Bertha are present. Miranda said Bertha won't return to the hacienda. Nati said, "Tell her you have the gun she wants."

Heridas de Amor - Episode 117

Julio advised Fabricio to denounce Bertha. He (Julio) seemed to be having chest pains, and Fabricio asked what was wrong. Julio said he now realized what kind of person Cesar really was. He wondered if Cesar was responsible for Gonzalo's death.

Juan was also suspicious of Cesar. He told Miranda he could find out Cesar's blood type (to see if it matched the blood on Guapo's handkerchief) because Cesar once donated blood to Florencia.

Nuria prayed for forgiveness for taking Florencia's baby. She told Luis Alberto she wanted to talk to Santiago. He said no at first because he didn't want anyone to know where they were, then relented and said, "If you want to talk to him, I'll find a way."

Nati lit candles at the hacienda. Arcadia asked why, and Nati said something about "the boss" (Gonzalo) having "a soul of pain." She opened the door and said, "Come in, boss," and the candles all went out, scaring Gavino and Arcadia.

Nati said Miranda would arrive at the hacienda tomorrow. Gavino asked how she knew that, and Nati said, "Such are the mysteries of the night."

Amparo told Carola that Juan and Renata had reconciled, and Juan planned to move in with Renata.

Vicente told Liliana about the two different blood types on Guapo's handkerchief. He said Miranda knew about it because her mother and brother-in-law worked at the hospital. Liliana said angrily that Miranda shouldn't have access to privileged information.

Santiago met Bertha at a restaurant and asked her, "What do you want, Demon?" Guapo arrived and they both hung over Santiago as if they were his friends. Bertha said, "We met you here because we're going to give you a great surprise." She said the restaurant had cameras everywhere -- apparently she wanted to get the meeting with Santiago on videotape in hopes of convincing Alejandro that Santiago was her accomplice.

Roman met with Alejandro and Vicente. He explained that he was Gonzalo's private investigator for many years, then asked Alejandro, "Do you know where and how your sister Lisania died?"

Santiago arrived, looking distressed, but Alejandro continued his conversation with Roman, saying angrily that Lisania died while driving down the street. Roman said, "Nuria and Luis Alberto have a different version." Alejandro asked Roman to contact him if he heard from Nuria and Luis Alberto again. Roman agreed.

After Roman left, Santiago appeared to have a heart attack, but later he said he felt better. He told Alejandro, "I'm going to give up the priesthood."

Sanson showed up at Amparo's house and told Carola to go back to work for him. Juan punched him in the nose, so Sanson pulled a gun on Juan. Sanson yelled at Carola, "Do you love this idot?" and Carola replied, "I'll always love him, to the last day of my life!"

Sanson threatened to shoot Juan, but Veronica jumped in front of Juan and taunted Sanson, "You're not a man! You're a coward!" Sanson hit her, I think (can't remember exactly), and forced her to kiss him. Veronica kissed him back, then bit him, deliberately mixing her blood with his.

Sanson yelled, "Be thankful I didn't kill you!" and Veronica said, "I'm going to die anyway." He asked what she meant and Veronica said, "I have AIDS, idiot!" Sanson told Juan something like, "If I die, all your family is going with me," then left. Juan said to Veronica, "Thank you. You saved my life."

Renata remembered chatting on the phone with Bertha about Juan's plan to test Florencia's medication to see if Bertha tampered with it. Renata said to herself, "My god, I have those medicines. I have proof against Bertha!" then called Gavino and told him to give the medicine to Miranda when she arrives at the hacienda.

Gavino was spooked because Nati had predicted Miranda's return. He told Arcadia, "Nati knows very well the day we are going to die, and also the hour!"

Juan brought Veronica home and told Renata what happened with Sanson. Veronica cried because she didn't really want to give Sanson AIDS but "I thought Juan deserved to live." Renata thanked her for saving Juan.

Veronica said, "I have many things to tell you and to ask forgiveness for," then confessed that she used to be Bertha's accomplice. She admitted to framing Renata for shoplifting. As they were talking, they heard three gunshots somewhere in the house.

Heridas de Amor - Episode 116

Miranda asked Renata to help her with the chocolate business -- I'm not sure, but I think she wants Renata to work as a model. (??)

Roman called Cesar and, disguising his voice, asked, "What happened when Lisania died in your apartment?" Cesar demanded, "Who is speaking?" but Roman hung up.

Charo apparently went to work for Liliana, but soon returned to the San Llorente house saying she didn't like Liliana. Miranda called Liliana and yelled at her for interrogating Charo about Miranda's personal life.

Liliana told her friend Marisol, "She is furious, and you know what, she's right." Marisol urged Liliana to pursue Alejandro, saying, "You have to be more pragmatic, more realistic. When Alejandro recovers his fortune, Sofia can have a life of consequence."

Juan found Renata in the kitchen of the empty San Llorente house. She complained about all their possessions being gone. Juan said, "I have also lost a treasure of great value, and I don't know how to get it back," then kissed her.

Fabricio pointed out to Miranda that she loves Alejandro. Miranda said, "I have to forget him because I don't have time for love." Fabricio begged her not to lose Alejandro forever.

Miranda went into the kitchen and told Renata and Juan that she still loves Alejandro, but every time she tries to tell him, she pictures him kissing Liliana.

Meanwhile, Liliana told her friend Marisol that she doesn't want to break up Alejandro's marriage but it would be different if he were divorced. Marisol immediately phoned Alejandro and claimed that Sofia was very upset and Liliana was crying. Alejandro said he would come to Liliana's house immediately.

I thought Bertha could use her evil powers to fight off Guapo -- maybe blast him with beams of fire from her eyes, or pull another knife out of her chest and stab him -- but no, he raped her. Bertha said, "You are a brute, an animal." Guapo smirked and said something about her smelling like fear and death, then left.

Cesar returned and found Bertha huddled on the couch. Suspicious, he asked who had been there, and Bertha said, "The Guapo." Cesar snarled, "With Quasimodo, you pervert? You're repugnant!" Bertha said, "I didn't want to. He raped me, but I swear he's going to be sorry!"

I looked away from the screen to make notes so I didn't see exactly what happened next, but apparently Cesar threw up?!

When Alejandro reached Liliana's apartment and saw that nothing was wrong, he said angrily that it was stupid for Marisol to call him, he had raced over and could have had a car accident. After he left, Liliana blamed Marisol and ordered her to leave.

Juan told Renata that lab tests found the blood of two different people on the handkerchief Guapo dropped the night of Gonzalo's murder.

Heridas de Amor - Episode 115

Nuria said she would rather be poor than take Cesar's stolen money. Luis Alberto claimed that they would use the money to provide homes for street children, and Nuria liked that idea.

A drunken Fabricio told Rebeca he wanted to return to being a child so he wouldn't have anything to worry about. After he passed out, Rebeca blamed herself for sheltering him too much and never teaching him to be a man (or something like that).

Liliana told Miranda that her relationship with Alejandro "is limited to his defense," that she only wants Alejandro to be a father figure to Sofia. Miranda retorted that Liliana says she's doing everything for Sofia but she's really doing it for herself.

Alejandro showed up and Miranda left. Al. asked if what Miranda said about Liliana's motives was true. Liliana said, "There's a thin line between a mother's love and a woman's love. Frankly, I don't know." Alejandro told her not to scheme against Miranda, then said, "Better that I go. Thank you for your professionalism," and left.

Bertha said to herself, "Who is this stupid Rebeca to talk to me that way? Lucas, where are you! I feel so alone." Just then Cesar arrived and yelled about Luis Alberto's disappearance with Nuria. Bertha shrieked at Cesar not to yell at her. Cesar asked if Bertha was ready to leave the country at any moment. Bertha said yes, and Cesar said they had to leave. Bertha asked worriedly, "And Lucas?"

Raul told Francisco he was depressed about losing Lisania and Erika. Francisco told him not to give up, to remember he has a loving family, etc.

Nuria told Luis Alberto and Roman that she'll ask Charo to get her personal papers, including her passport, so she and Luis Alberto can leave the country. Roman mentioned that he once met Lisania coming out of Cesar's apartment. Luis Alberto said, "You know Lisania died in his apartment?" I think Roman said they could use this information against Cesar.

Cesar told Bertha wanted to do something to Miranda before leaving the country. I'm not sure what he's planning. Bertha said it would be "a blow of astronomical proportions for Alejandro," then said something about suicide or someone being suicidal.

Cesar asked if Bertha killed Alejandro's mother. She said no, his mother died of cancer, "I only helped her die well." Cesar said, "We are going to do something very interesting to that pair of idiots."

Pamela and Luciano got married in the yard of Alejandro's house. Al. told Juan he was selling the house and would move in with Andrea (Pamela's mother) while he looked for an apartment. He complained to Luciano that Miranda was giving all her attention to Fabricio.

Pamela told Andrea to give Miranda some money (to help Miranda pay her debts).

Alejandro and Miranda argued about Liliana. Miranda said, "It isn't her daughter who needs a father, a playmate -- it is Liliana. She is tired of living alone." Al. said Miranda was being too hard on Liliana, and Miranda said, "That's just what she wants -- a defender. She tried to talk to me as a mother, but she is a woman, and I heard her as a woman." Al. accused Miranda of having feelings for Fabricio.

Rebeca apologized to Fernanda for getting involved with Bertha and said she plans to tell all her friends what Bertha's really like. Later Rebeca apologized to Julio and asked him to give her another chance. He agreed, "We're both going to begin anew."

Julio told Cesar that someone (Luis Alberto?) put their money into high risk investments, adding, "You were the one who told me to trust him."

Bertha complained to Guapo that she didn't want to leave Lucas behind when she left the country. He chuckled and said something about her not really having anything, including Lucas, then began molesting her.

Heridas de Amor - Episode 114

Sanson told Cesar that Luis Alberto gave up his apartment. Later Luis Alberto told Nuria he was taking her far away to start a new life. She said something about Cesar. and Luis Alberto said, "No, Cesar doesn't have money, but I do."

Liliana got a letter about the dead doctors in Germany, then called Alejandro and said she needed to see him right away.

Miranda told Alejandro she wants a divorce, saying, "It's better." Alejandro demanded, "Better for who? For me, for you, or Fabricio?" They struggled, he kissed her, and Miranda said, "That was a goodbye kiss. Adios."

Charo told Alejandro she had something important to tell him. In the next scene, Alejandro told Vicente and Luciano about Charo concealing Guapo's bloody handkerchief. He brought Charo into the room to talk to them, but she refused to say anything more.

At the church, Santiago told Miranda that the nuns were all imposters, and that Bertha was involved. Pamela arrived and Santiago asked why she hadn't scheduled her church wedding, since her civil wedding was only two days away. Pamela explained that Luciano wanted to hold the church wedding in Italy so his family could attend.

Alejandro allowed Sofia to tell her school friends that he was her father. He told Liliana not to worry about it, that Sofia is just going through a phase.

Renata visited Juan's family to bring bad news to Raul: Erika has suddenly gone to Canada, and isn't coming back, because she is pregnant with someone else's child. (Strange that the writers wrote Erika out of the show this way!)

Rebeca (Cesar's mother) visited Cesar because she heard a rumor that Bertha was living with him. Bertha pretended to laugh at the rumors, and Rebeca said of course Bertha's too old to be involved with any man, much less one Cesar's age. Bertha replied, "Now I know why Julio always has a dissatisfied face."

Cesar decided to leave, telling them not to break anything in his apartment. When he was gone, Bertha told Rebeca that Cesar is the man in her life, "and all he knows about the arts of love, he learned from me."

Rebeca tried to leave, but Bertha said, "Sit down and shut up. I'm not done." Rebeca replied, "You are bad and cruel. You are an ugly person without scruples or shame."

Bertha said Rebeca was a fine one to talk about shame since she never told Julio that he was her sons' father and etc. Rebeca said she did everything because she loved her sons, Julio, and Gonzalo, but Bertha doesn't love anyone except her dog. Rebeca said Cesar "is a man, but you are trash" that Bertha might have men in her bed but would end up alone (something like that). Bertha got upset and told Rebeca to leave.

Liliana told Vicente and Luciano that Bertha killed two prominent cardiologists in Germany.

Alejandro saw Miranda showing a necklace to Fabricio's baby. He recognized it as the medallion Lisania was wearing when she disappeared. Miranda said the baby must have gotten it from Nuria. Alejandro said he would try to contact Daira.

Renata, sobbing as usual, told Amparo that she still loves Juan, but "Cesar gives me all I am accustomed to. I can't live in misery." Amparo pointed out Juan's family isn't living in misery, that money couldn't buy Florencia her health, etc. Renata said, "I only want Juan to be happy!" and Amparo said, "You are my son's happiness." Renata said, "I don't deserve him!" That's for sure.

At the end of the show, Liliana found Miranda in Gonzalo's former office. Miranda accused Liliana of coming into the room because she thought Alejandro was there. Liliana said actually she thought it was Luciano. Miranda asked coldly why Liliana is using her daughter to get to Alejandro.

Heridas de Amor - Episode 113

At Florencia's funeral: I think Santiago told Miranda that Florencia left a letter for her.

Miranda told Alejandro she has to help Fabricio because "His world is destroyed, and no one can understand better than me." Alejandro looked on jealously as Miranda comforted Fabricio.

Alejandro told Fabricio to go on living for the sake of his son, "That's what Florencia expected."

Renata apologized to Miranda for not being there when Florencia died.

Bertha told Cesar she has to do something to Nuria soon because if Nuria denounces them to the police, they're both lost.

Meanwhile, Raul and Veronica told Carola that Juan still loves Renata. Veronica revealed that Renata slept with Cesar in New York, then told Carola that Renata also slept with Juan over the weekend. Carola said she can't believe that Renata has happiness at her door yet she's shutting it out.

Sanson showed up and asked Raul where Carola was. Raul said he didn't know, so Sanson roughed him up while Carola hid in the kitchen. Before leaving, Sanson said something about wanting to get revenge on Juan for his brother's death.

Liliana called a friend and said that her weekend with her daughter was hellish. The friend asked, "Does she know that Alejandro is her father?" !!! (Maybe I misunderstood this.)

After the funeral, Miranda and Alejandro realized that Nuria was missing. Alejandro called Luciano, who said Nuria wasn't with him. Miranda realized that Bertha and Cesar were also missing.

Renata got a call from someone who apparently said something about Alfredo Luque. Renata asked if the caller wanted to speak to Alfredo's son, Alejandro, but the caller hung up. Alejandro realized that Bertha must have told someone that Florencia was Alfredo's daughter.

Fabricio told Juan that he feels empty in his chest and stomach, he wishes this were all a nightmare, he can't believe the world is going on without Florencia, etc. Juan said Fab. has to learn to accept Florencia's death etc.

Renata sobbed that she can never forgive herself for not being there when Florencia died. Fernanda tried to comfort her.

Juan took Renata aside and asked why she left him after their weekend together. Renata said, "It was best." Juan said he'll never divorce her because he knows she loves him.

Renata tried to argue and he said, "Open your eyes! Now we are equals," in fact he's now richer than she is. Renata said, "You have always been richer than me." She tried to leave the room, but Juan stopped her. Renata finally admitted, "In New York, I was with Cesar."

Heridas de Amor - Episode 112

Juan spent his weekend with Renata, then woke up in the morning to find her gone. She drove away crying. She's such an idiot.

Nuria realized that the nuns were accomplices of Bertha.

Ramon told Amparo he's doing private investigations now and he needed to talk to Fernanda. Then he said, "I wanted to see you, and this was the best excuse," and Amparo smiled.

Before he left, he told Amparo that her family should consider buying their own home since they are now doing better financially. Amparo seemed taken aback at the idea of moving.

A delegation of women visited Santiago to tell him (I think) that they were worried about the conditions at the orphanage (where Nuria was being held captive). He went to see the Mother Superior and confronted her angrily, saying, "The authorities know, and they are investigating."

Just then Santiago heard another nun yelling at Nuria. He told the Mother Superior that Nuria isn't really Bertha's daughter and that nuns are "accomplices of kidnapping," and said, "If you don't give me the baby this moment, I'm calling the police."

Florencia begged Miranda not to leave Fabricio alone, to support him after Florencia died. Miranda promised. Florencia said, "Find my son. Tell him how much I love him."

She said her death was punishment for all the bad things she's done, telling Miranda, "I've only done damage and caused pain to many people, but above all, you. Forgive me." Miranda cried and said she loved Florencia. Florencia said she's not afraid to die.

Bertha showed up and asked to be left alone with Florencia, telling Miranda, "I'm not going to kill her." Miranda said if anything happened to Flor., Bertha would go to jail.

Bertha told Flor., "You're going to die, and I'm more alive than ever. I have many things to confess." Florencia said, "You are crazy!" and also called Bertha a monster.

Bertha said, "The kidnapping of Fabricio was not the worst thing I did." She admitted that she'd been switching Florencia's medications all these years, boasting, "That is monstrous." She also said she got Florencia to steal Fabricio from Miranda just so she could see Miranda suffer, "That is monstrous." Then she revealed her plan to get control of Alejandro's fortune through Florencia's baby. Florencia was hyperventilating heavily throughout this conversation.

Meanwhile, Alejandro asked Miranda if she would ever forgive him. She said, "To forgive is easy. I've already done it. To forget, no."

Amparo cried because Florencia is dying and she (Amparo) felt sorry for Fernanda. Juan came home and Amparo told him that Flor. was dying.

Francisco got a phone call from Santiago, who asked him to take Nuria and the baby to the San Llorente house. I think Santiago then called the police.

Liliana's bratty little daughter told Liliana that she wants Alejandro to be her father. Liliana said, "That can't be because he has a wife." The brat then called Alejandro while he was talking to Miranda.

Alejandro and Luciano told Fabricio that Al. is selling his house to raise money. Fabricio said he would sell his country house, too, but Alejandro said sternly, "No. That is your son's inheritance," that Fab. should starve to death before he sells it.

Meanwhile Bertha was still torturing Florencia. She said, "I don't want forgiveness," but Flor. insisted that she forgave Bertha anyway. She said something about Bertha being repugnant and smelling like blood so that no one would ever love her, "For this, I forgive you." Bertha went nuts and tried to strangle Florencia, but Fern. and Miranda ran in and saved her.

Nuria arrived with the baby and Fabricio raced into to show the baby to Florencia before she died, but he was seconds too late. Florencia died and everyone except Bertha (Miranda, Alejandro, Fabricio, Fernanda, Luciano) sobbed.

Heridas de Amor - Episode 110

Alejandro looked around his house and told Luciano, "This house is too much. Sell it immediately."

Renata called Alejandro and told him her family's property was being seized.

Bertha asked Cesar to let her dog stay in his apartment. He reluctantly agreed. Sanson arrived and Bertha told him, "The next time you look at me like that, you're going to have one eye." Later Sanson mused that he was fed up with Bertha.

Florencia told Fabricio that Nuria is Tomasa's granddaughter.

By phone, Cesar told his mother not to give money to the San Llorente family.

Nati told Miranda she was going to receive a strong blow, but if she resisted it she would obtain what she desired.

Juan begged Renata to spend the weekend with him, saying afterward she will be a free woman.

Bertha asked Luis Alberto why his attitude toward her had changed. Just then he received a phone call from the sobbing Nuria. The mother superior interrupted before Nuria could tell Luis Alberto where she was. The nuns decided that Nuria must be severely punished.

Luis Alberto told Fabricio about Nuria's call, then called Roman and asked him to trace the number Nuria called from.

Vicente yelled at Charo for giving false testimony against Alejandro. Alejandro asked to talk to Charo alone, then assured her he wasn't angry with her because he knew she was forced to remain quiet. He promised not to ask her any questions.

Vicente told Alejandro that Charo must have let Guapo out of the house on the night of the shooting. Al. said he would ask Santiago to talk to Charo.

Sofia told Liliana she didn't want to go to the movies or the fair unless Alejandro went with them.

Charo told Renata she didn't want to work for the San Llorentes anymore because she was afraid. She showed Guapo's bloody handkerchief to Renata, who insisted on showing it to Alejandro immediately. I think Charo also told Renata that Cesar threatened her.

Miranda found the house empty and started to cry. Alejandro tried to comfort her, saying, "I am here to take care of you." Miranda yelled at him about kissing Liliana. Al. said, "I did it, and I made a mistake. It was a stupid error. This photo doesn't tell the truth." Then Cesar showed up.

Heridas de Amor - Episode 109

After Florencia was unfriendly to Bertha, Bertha said she would move out of the house immediately. Renata told Florencia, "If she goes, I go too." Florencia replied, "I don't want that woman in my house anymore." Charo warned Florencia not to let Bertha leave because Bertha knows where the baby is.

Sofia (Liliana's daughter) asked Liliana to invite Alejandro to go to the movies with them so Sofia can tell her friends that she has a papa, too.

Cesar told Sanson to follow someone -- Luis Alberto, I think -- and said they have to make him suffer before they kill him.

Fernanda encouraged Miranda to talk to Alejandro, saying Alejandro is probably confused because Liliana saved him from jail. Miranda said she intends to divorce Alejandro. Fernanda said that they have to settle things with Bertha so Florencia can see her child again before she dies.

Juan told Amparo and Francisco that he doesn't want to hear them mention Renata's name again. Later Amparo said she's going to have a few words with Renata "as a woman and as a mother."

Fabricio and Luis Alberto asked Roman to help find Nuria and the baby. Roman said he would help them for Fernanda's sake. Luis Alberto mentioned that Bertha claims to be Nuria's mother. Fabricio said that's impossible because Bertha had a hysterectomy when she was 18 years old.

Vicente told Alejandro that no bank will lend money to San Llorente Investments. Alejandro said twice that he would sell his soul to the devil if necessary to get the money to save the business. He said he would sell the jewelry his father designed, but Luciano said Miranda already sold that to pay for Alejandro's defense.

Florencia threatened to accuse Bertha of kidnapping, saying she knows that Bertha also kidnapped Tomasa's granddaughter, Nuria. I think she said Bertha was "dried up inside." Bertha slapped her and Florencia began having chest pains.

Fernanda and Miranda made plans to fly back to Mexico City to take care of Florencia.

Renata called Juan and said, "You have to come here" without explaining that Florencia needed help. Juan refused, hung up, and threw the phone across the room, then said, "You have to call me. If it's true that you love me, call." Renata called again and he grabbed the phone and said something like, "You again?" They argued about Cesar before Renata finally told him that Florencia needed medical help.

Florencia asked Charo to fetch Father Santiago because she wants to confess.

Sanson told Cesar that his two friends in prison (the ones Alejandro eventually befriended) are getting out of prison because they have a lawyer (abogado) now. Cesar said, "An abogado or an abogada (female lawyer)?" meaning Liliana. He told Sanson to investigate.

At the end of the episode, Charo told Renata that some men had arrived to seize the house.

Heridas de Amor - Episode 108

Luis Alberto told Fabricio he knows someone who might be able to help find Nuria and the baby, then called Roman, who agreed to meet them right away in a nearby park.

Luis Alberto thought that when he finds Nuria he's going to take her far away, with or without the baby.

Cesar and Bertha gloated about the photo of Alejandro kissing Liliana. Cesar said he wants to do "something definitive" to Alejandro and Miranda or they'll eventually get back together. Bertha said, "Like what? Kill them?" and Cesar said, "I don't know."

He called Miranda and told her he took the photo at the office. She agreed to meet him later. After hanging up, Cesar told Bertha, "Her sorrow is immense. I can almost see it," and they both smirked.

Renata told Fernanda she wants to make up for the time they lost during the years they were separated.

While getting drunk with Juan, Alejandro said he learned something from kissing Liliana: "I'm an imbecile." He shouted that Miranda is the only woman he loves etc. Juan sang a song about money not being important in life.

Alejandro tried to call Miranda but accidentally called Liliana instead. She said she would come and get him because he was drunk.

Luciano told Pamela he wants to invite Liliana to their wedding. She angrily asked if he's interested in Liliana, but then they kissed and made up. Liliana called to tell Luciano that Alejandro was drunk. Pamela asked, "What is that woman doing with Alejandro at this hour?"

While Bertha was out of the room, Cesar told Lucas that he's an ugly dog, just like Bertha. Renata arrived and asked why Cesar was in Bertha's bedroom. Cesar kissed her and Renata pulled away, exclaiming, "Don't bite me!"

Then Renata remembered Lisania saying that Renata introduced her to her abusive boyfriend. Renata asked Cesar if he remembered her introducing him to Lisania. He said impatiently that he didn't remember, then told her he's going to Paris and Milan. Renata smiled, forgot all about Lisania, and said, "Are you inviting me?" SHE IS AN IDIOT

Liliana took the drunken Alejandro to her house and warned that he could be thrown back into jail if he doesn't behave himself. He apologized for kissing her that morning, saying it was "an impulse." Liliana said, "The problem is me" because she has feelings for Alejandro.

Alejandro said, "We were wrong, but we have time to remedy things." Liliana said, "Things can be remedied, but not feelings," then said from that time forward they would be only lawyer and defendant. Alejandro left.

Miranda told her neighbors about her plans for making chocolate for exportation, urging them not to sell their haciendas. Finally they agreed to her plan.

Heridas de Amor - Episode 107

Cesar sneered at Alejandro, "When you get romantic with your lawyer, close the door, idiot." Liliana warned Alejandro not to touch Cesar or he'd be sent back to jail, but Cesar goaded Alejandro till Al. punched him.

Cesar gloated, "Don't worry. I'm not going to say anything to my friend the judge. You don't know how much I'm going to enjoy that blow." He also taunted Liliana, saying she violated her professional ethics by initiating her client into adultery.

After Cesar left, Alejandro assured Liliana that no one would find out about their kiss. (Yeah, right.) Liliana asked, "Why did you kiss me?" and Alejandro said, "I had to know what I felt for you." She asked what he felt for her, and Al. said evasively, "You're an extraordinary woman, ideal for any man." Liliana asked, "For you?" and Alejandro didn't answer, so Liliana left disappointed.

I wonder if Al. is going to kiss every attractive woman he meets just to so he can be sure how he feels about them... geesh.

Fernanda vowed to throw Bertha out of the house, but Fabricio and Florencia told her to wait until they got their baby back.

Nuria prayed for help in escaping from the orphanage. The mother superior gave her a sedative, but Nuria only pretended to swallow it and spit it out when the mother superior wasn't looking.

Florencia told Fab. she's going to die soon and she wants to be buried, not cremated.

Veronica found Fab. in the library and gave back the money she blackmailed from him. He broke down crying, saying he used to despise her as someone who expected others to solve her problems, but now he realizes that he too has always relied on others to solve his problems. Now that Florencia is dying and his baby has disappeared, he doesn't know what to do. Veronica tried to comfort him.

Someone from Italy called Bertha, and she told him that Alfredo Luque has a daughter named Florencia whose son, Enrique, is the rightful heir to Alfredo's fortune.

Later Bertha overheard Florencia telling Fernanda that she knows she will die soon and she's ready to die, but she wants to see her baby one more time. Bertha thought something like, "Florencia is dying because I want her to," that this is part of her revenge against Fernanda.

At the hacienda, Miranda looked at her email and saw Cesar's photo of Alejandro kissing Liliana. After that, she refused to leave the library or eat anything. Gavino called Renata and told her what was going on. Renata told Fernanda, who said she would go to Tabasco to see Miranda.

Fernanda warned Renata, "Florencia is very near the end, and she knows it."

Heridas de Amor - Episode 106

Alejandro told Liliana that her daughter, Sofia, reminds him of his sister Lisania. He asked who Sofia's father is. Liliana said, "I'm my daughter's father."

She told Alejandro all she wants to do in life is work and set an example for her daughter. Alejandro said, "You have done good things for me," and Liliana replied, "I do things because you pay me."

Alejandro said he wants them to be friends and asked her not to separate him from her daughter. Liliana said he should go home and tell Miranda that he has eyes only for her. After he left, Liliana cried.

Fabricio told Cesar that Bertha and Guapo kidnapped him. Cesar asked, "Why are you telling me this?" and Fabricio said, "Because you are my brother."

Cesar remarked that he doesn't believe Florencia really has a heart problem because she's lived through so much. Then he said sarcastically that he likes hearing Fabricio's problems but "I have things to do," and told Fabricio he should instead bring his problems to Father Santiago or a psychiatrist.

As Cesar was trying to rush Fabricio out of his apartment, Bertha arrived. Fabricio said, "You have my son, Bertha! Give him back!" Bertha slapped him and said he'll never see little Enrique again if he lets Fernanda throw her out of the house.

Fabricio looked at Cesar, who wasn't doing anything to help him, and said, "You are her accomplice, Cesar? I can't believe it! We are brothers!" Bertha told him not to be melodramatic. She also made some crack about this not being a telenovela (I thought that was funny). Fabricio told Cesar to give back the money and jewels he took from their mother for ransom.

After Fabricio left, Bertha snickered about Cesar having tricked his mother out of her jewels. Cesar said he needed the money for his business. Bertha got serious and asked him, "When people talk about wounds of love, what are they talking about? What is a wound of love?"

Cesar said, "I don't know," that people talk about wounds of love because they are "stupid romantics." He said Lisania and Nuria stayed with him because they were maschoists, but no one had ever loved him. He and Bertha cried together. Bertha said, "Neither you nor I can awaken the love of another."

Alejandro arrived at Miranda's house but she wasn't there. Fernanda told him Miranda was unhappy because she may never be a mother. Alejandro said women have value even if they don't have children. Renata told him that Miranda drove to Tabasco alone, and Alejandro worried about that.

Juan told Francisco that he loves Renata. Francisco said he shouldn't let Renata go. Juan remembered seeing Renata kissing Cesar, but wouldn't tell Francisco about it.

Bertha went home and told her dog, "You're the only one who loves me, Lucas." Then I think she said something about "this baby in me"?????? I don't know if she's actually pregnant or if I misunderstood this remark. She broke down in sobs.

The next day, Bertha woke up and told Lucas she didn't want to get up, only to sleep. Cesar phoned her and she said something like, "I'm very sad. Yes, I feel just like you do." After hanging up, she told Lucas, "Today isn't a good day to go out, but with you I don't feel alone."

Veronica made a speech about HIV and safe sex to a room full of young women. Afterward Renata and Erika congratulated her.

Alejandro called Gavino, who told him Miranda hadn't reached the hacienda yet. Actually Miranda was sitting right in front of Gavino. She told Gavino not to let anyone, even her sisters, know that she was at the hacienda. Nati arrived and Miranda asked her to help make chocolate.

Alejandro worried about Miranda's whereabouts, but Luciano said she probably stopped at a motel. Alejandro told Luciano that he accidentally called Miranda "Liliana." Of course, Liliana just happened to be standing outside his office door and overheard him saying this.

Liliana continued to eavesdrop while Alejandro admitted that he thinks Liliana is beautiful. Luciano said he's attracted to Liliana, too, that he "dreams of having her in his arms," and said Alejandro must have thought about Liliana during all those months in jail. Before Alejandro could answer, Liliana breezed into the office and said, "Good day."

Later, when Alejandro and Liliana were alone, Alejandro asked if she would forgive a man who called her by another woman's name. Liliana said no because it would mean the man was subconsciously in love with the other woman.

Alejandro admitted that he accidentally called Miranda "Liliana." Liliana told him he should see an analyst. Alejandro kissed her, and -- surprise! -- Cesar arrived and saw them.

(And the scenes from the next episode showed Cesar using his cellphone to videotape Alejandro kissing Liliana, then emailing it to Miranda!!)

ADDED NOTE: Having watched this episode again, I think maybe Bertha was referring to her inner child, not a pregnancy, but I'm still not sure.

Heridas de Amor - Episode 105

Renata remembered telling Cesar (during their trip to New York) that she was still a married woman and wanted to return to her own bedroom. Cesar said, "You are never leaving here," and pushed her onto the bed. Crying, Renata passively submitted.

After remembering this, Renata had another argument with herself in the mirror. Unfortunately, I wasn't paying attention because I thought it was another of Renata's whine-fests, but I did hear her reflection say, "You're trash" and "This child can't be born!" Renata collapsed on her bed, crying, "I don't know what to do!" So she's either pregnant or thinks she might be.

At the orphanage, Bertha told Nuria that her baby is dead, then sent her away with the nuns to be sedated. Bertha later told the mother superior that her "daughter" (Nuria) lost her baby, and "I don't know how she got it into her head that Florencia's baby is hers." She told the mother superior to discipline Nuria and not let her go anywhere or make phone calls. The nun said, "Here we see, hear, and say nothing," and smiled when Bertha gave her some money.

Fabricio apparently called the police and reported the baby's disappearance (finally).

Cesar told Miranda that something is going on between Alejandro and his lawyer. I was out of the room, so I missed what Miranda said in reply, but Cesar became furious and shouted that he's fed up with her insults and rudeness. He said something like, "I'm finished with your damned whims of a princess!" and that he would never return to her house again.

Before Cesar left, Alejandro arrived and said he knows Cesar paid the judge to convict him. Later Renata told Cesar that she doesn't think Alejandro shot Gonzalo, "I think you and Bertha saw something else." Cesar yelled, "Do you think we imagined it?" and Renata said, "I don't like it when you talk to me that way."

She told Cesar that she's afraid she's pregnant. Cesar said don't worry, he'll take care of her and the child (ha, the same thing he told Nuria). Renata said, "I'm never going to have children, not yours or anyone else's." Cesar kissed her in his creepy way, then left.

Miranda told Alejandro that she wants a separation. He shouted, "What more do you want from me?" and Miranda replied, "A child." Alejandro said he doesn't want to watch his child die of the same illness his father and sisters had, "I don't want a child," and Miranda said, "What a shame, because I do."

Luis Alberto mused that he's sure Bertha and Cesar know where Nuria is. He went to Cesar's apartment to find Nuria's personal papers.

Later Luis Alberto went to church and told Santiago and Charo that Nuria left with a deformed man. Santiago remembered El Guapo.

Francisco lectured Juan, "What are you doing with Carola? She is like a daughter in this house. You have to respect this house and this family." Juan said, "Stop your sermon. We are adults." Francisco said something like, "This isn't how to be a man." Juan left to go see Alejandro.

A nun yelled at Nuria (who was holding the baby), "Your baby is dead! This is another woman's child!" Nuria said she understood that, "but please don't take it [the baby] from me."

Florencia encouraged Miranda to call Alejandro. Unfortunately, Al. was visiting Liliana, and Miranda heard Sofia (Liliana's daughter) asking Alejandro to read her a story.

Miranda hung up crying and told Florencia, "He's with her and her daughter." She said Alejandro has "a complete family" with Liliana and Sofia, that she can compete with another woman but "against a child, I lose."

I think Liliana told Alejandro she wants to work from home, not his office, to avoid problems with Miranda. Alejandro said admiringly that Liliana is a strong woman "who knows how to react to anything." Liliana looked uncomfortable and said, "It's better that you leave now."

Heridas de Amor - Episode 104

On the morning after her argument with Alejandro, Miranda remembered him calling her Liliana and said to herself, "I can't forget it."

Cesar accused Luis Alberto, "You are in love with my woman, right?" He said something about feeling betrayed because Luis Alberto was his "only friend," but Luis Alberto didn't seem to buy Cesar's injured act. He told Cesar about Nuria driving off with Guapo. Cesar thought that Nuria must be very important to Bertha.

Fernanda and Fabricio argued about whether to report the disappearance of Nuria and Florencia's baby to the police. Miranda arrived and warned Bertha, "If you don't say where Nuria is, I'm going to call the police right now!"

Fabricio told Miranda she shouldn't throw Bertha out of the house, but Fernanda ordered Bertha to leave. Bertha said, "Part of my life is here, too! I am your sister, Fernanda; don't forget it! Remember that I am your blood!" and ran out of the room.

Miranda told Fabricio everyone knows Bertha kidnapped him. Fabricio yelled at Florencia for revealing the secret, saying it means "we are all in danger" and his son will be in danger, too, if they don't treat Bertha well.

Liliana agreed to work for Alejandro as long as he pays her punctually. She said, "My clients are my clients, not my friends, but with you it's different. I don't know why." She asked him to pass on her apologies to Miranda for phoning the previous night, adding that she knew it caused problems for Alejandro.

She said that she and Miranda can't be friends because they're too much alike. Alejandro said he didn't understand that, and Liliana said, "Because you're not a woman." Alejandro said he's glad to be a man because things are simpler for men. He asked what women want, and Liliana said, "Everything, and more if possible."

Miranda called Alejandro's cell phone while he was out of the room, so Liliana answered. Miranda demanded to speak to Alejandro. She told him curtly that Nuria had disappeared with Florencia's baby, then hung up.

Veronica and Erika told Renata that Juan says he'll give her a divorce if she spends one weekend alone with him first. Renata said smugly, "I accept."

Carola excitedly told Amparo that she's Juan's girlfriend now. Amparo said, "I don't like this" because Juan is still married. She told Carola, "You're not his girlfriend; you're his lover."

Later Amparo told Juan that he's giving Carola illusions. She questioned his values, but Juan just said, "We'll talk about this later."

Liliana went to Cesar's apartment and found him with Bertha. I didn't understand most of their conversation, but Liliana said she intends to investigate Cesar and Bertha. Cesar suggested that Liliana should work with him and Bertha, but Liliana refused, so Cesar showed her the door.

After Liliana left, Bertha smirked and said she would visit Liliana and bring her daughter a stuffed bear. Then she and Cesar headed for the bedroom together.

At the end of the show, Nuria was shown huddling on the floor of (apparently) the orphanage where she grew up. The mother superior lectured her for refusing to eat and said Nuria can't see the baby till she eats. She slapped Nuria, and just then Bertha showed up.

Heridas de Amor - Episode 103

Bertha told Luis Alberto that Nuria's doctor says no one should mention the baby's death to Nuria. She asked if he's in love with Nuria, and Luis Alberto said yes. Bertha said she would let him see Nuria later.

After Luis Alberto left, Bertha called Cesar and said, "I have a terrible problem, and only you can help me." She told him Luis Alberto is in love with Nuria.

Sanson informed Cesar that Alejandro was released from jail on bail. Cesar angrily asked why Sanson didn't kill Alejandro. Sanson said he didn't have an opportunity. Cesar ordered Bertha to come to his apartment to see him, but she said she couldn't because she was waiting for El Guapo to come for Nuria.

Cesar told Sanson that he still wants Miranda but has the patience to wait for her, adding, "Now I have Renata in my hand. That makes them all vulnerable."

Alejandro told Miranda he's going to get Fabricio to denounce Bertha for kidnapping him.

Ramon told Amparo she can continue her studies after they're married "when you have time." He has money and wants to them to travel, see Mexico together. Amparo said she wants to go to school full-time because her studies are a new world for her; she feels useful and younger, and she has plans for the future now.

Roman said dourly, "I understand." Amparo said she still wanted to see him and be friends, but Roman left without answering.

Juan asked Carola, "Do you still love me?" Carola said, "Like the first day." Juan said he was willing to try a relationship with her, but he wanted them to be honest with each other. If things didn't work out, they would go back to being friends. Carola agreed.

Nuria got into the back seat of a car, holding the baby, and Guapo drove her away. Luis Alberto saw them leaving, wondered what was going on, and followed in his car.

In bed together, Miranda and Alejandro discussed their plans. Miranda said she wanted to return to the hacienda, but Alejandro said no, he wanted her to stay at his side forever. He said sleepily, "I want you to be mine, Liliana, only mine."

Miranda flipped out and told Alejandro she could never forgive him. He told her it was just a slip of the tongue and didn't matter, so Miranda sarcastically called him Cesar and asked if that mattered. To make matters worse, Liliana called Alejandro just then.

Carola offered to make dinner for Juan and he started imagining that he was talking to Renata instead. He came to his senses and confessed to Carola that he would never love her like he loved Renata. Carola said, "Don't love me like her; love me differently." Juan said, "I don't want to," then kissed her, imagining that he was kissing Renata.

They were interrupted by the arrival of Raul and Erika. Erika told Raul, "I never thought your brother would be unfaithful to my friend." Juan told them defiantly that Renata has made him suffer and if she wants a divorce, she'll have to pay.

Florencia discovered that Nuria had taken her baby. She yelled at Bertha, "It's your fault, idiot!" Fabricio arrived just then and Florencia collapsed.

Meanwhile Alejandro and Miranda continued their argument. Alejandro said, "All the obstacles we've overcome don't matter? All for a stupid name?" Miranda said, "Not in my bed!" She tried to leave, but Alejandro carried her back to bed, saying, "I'm going to demonstrate with all my body and soul that I love you!" Miranda struggled at first, then started kissing him back.

Heridas de Amor - Episode 102

Amparo told Francisco she does love Roman, but she is enthusiastic about her studies and wants to continue them. Francisco told her to talk to Roman about this. (I'm not sure if she intends to break up with Roman, delay their marriage, or what.)

Nuria told Charo that Bertha says Florencia's baby is really Nuria's, but "the love of a mother tells me it isn't my baby." Charo urged her not to believe what Bertha says. Santiago tried to comfort Nuria, and she yelled at him, asking why God allowed her baby to die.

At the jail, in the presence of Alejandro, Miranda, and Liliana, Cesar testified that he heard Alejandro and Gonzalo yelling at each other, then came into the room just as Alejandro shot Gonzalo. Bertha gave similar testimony.

Bertha plotted with Guapo to do something unspecified to Nuria. When Cesar found out about it, he said angrily, "I told you, till the divorce is signed, you can't touch her." Bertha said he'll still be able to get his divorce. Guapo made some threatening remark to Cesar, who became angry and went to wait for Bertha in the car.

Guapo sniffed Bertha and said, "Your smell is the essence of terror," then said to himself that he's been waiting for Bertha to smell that way.

At the jail, the official taking witnesses' statements asked Miranda if she's only defending Alejandro because she loves him. Miranda hesitated and said she didn't understand the implications of the question. Liliana (who had told Miranda to answer all questions directly, without looking at Alejandro) was unhappy.

After Liliana gave Miranda further instructions, Miranda answered the question forcefully, saying her love for her husband doesn't prevent her from knowing whether he wanted to kill her father. Liliana looked pleased.

Julio told Luis Alberto that Nuria's baby died. Luis Alberto was shocked.

Renata told Juan she wants a divorce, saying she loves him but it's not enough because he doesn't want a better life and she does. Juan told her that he saw her kissing Cesar, then asked if she loves Cesar. Renata said no, which angered Juan. He ended up begging her not to divorce him, but Renata said, "I don't deserve you. If it's true that you love me, give me the divorce I request."

Miranda and Pamela complained to Luciano about their dislike for Liliana. He reminded them angrily that Liliana is fighting for Alejandro's freedom. Miranda called Vicente and asked him to bring her information about Liliana, then told Pamela, "To attack my enemy, I have to know her."

Bertha yelled at Nuria for going to church. Nuria said, "My baby is dead!" and Bertha slapped her. Nuria asked, "Why did you hit me?" Bertha said, "Because I wanted to, and because you doubt my word."

I think Luis Alberto arrived and asked to see Nuria, but Bertha said she would send him away.

Vicente brought Miranda some information on Liliana (I don't know how he got it so fast), including photos of her daughter. Miranda and Pamela agreed that Liliana seems to be hard-working, honest, and an excellent mother.

Pamela said, "This woman is a hypocrite. No one is that perfect." Miranda said she envied Liliana because, unlike Liliana, she might never be a mother.

Just then Alejandro entered the house and said Liliana had won his freedom. Liliana and her daughter (Sofia) followed him. Alejandro picked up Sofia and said, "You have the most marvellous mother in the world." Miranda scowled.

Heridas de Amor - Episode 101

Talking to Renata, Miranda revealed that (a) she might need fertility treatments in order to get pregnant and (b) she's worried about Alejandro having such a beautiful lawyer.

Alejandro asked Liliana to work for him at San Llorente Investments. He wants her to sue Bertha and Cesar for defaming him by falsely accusing him of murder. Liliana said whether she accepted the job offer would depend on Miranda's reaction to it.

Fernanda told Julio and Santiago that Bertha convinced Rebeca to accuse Fernanda of conspiring to kill Gonzalo. Julio said he won't allow Rebeca to do that because Fernanda is very special to him. Santiago asked if Rebeca is right to suspect Fernanda and Julio of being in love, and Julio said no, Fernanda is more than a woman to him -- she's a friend.

Florencia yelled at Bertha for encouraging Nuria to think the baby is hers, saying, "I know very well the characteristics of my child."

Liliana visited Miranda, who again lectured Liliana for showing up without an appointment. Bertha thought, "Miranda is jealous of this woman. Perfect! The enemy of my enemy is my friend."

As Liliana was leaving, Bertha approached her and apologized for Miranda's behavior. Liliana mentioned that she would do "anything to feed her daughter." Bertha arranged to meet Liliana later "to talk about who my niece really is."

Fernanda arrived and told Bertha, "This is my house, and it is for you to leave." She accused Bertha of plotting with Cesar to kill Gonzalo. Bertha said mockingly, "Proof, proof! To accuse, you need proof." Fernanda gave her two days to move out of the house. Bertha said to herself, "This is my house and no one is going to throw me out."

Charo looked at Guapo's blood-stained handkerchief, hidden in her night stand. She remembered Bertha ordering her to clean up Guapo's blood on the night of the shooting.

Nuria visited Charo's room and asked where her baby was. Charo reminded her that her baby is dead. Nuria said Bertha told her that Florencia's baby is really hers. She started cuddling Charo's pillow and saying it was her baby.

Miranda and Pamela scolded Luciano for hiring Liliana to work at San Llorente Investments. Luciano told Miranda that it was Alejandro's idea. He also told Miranda to choose between saving the hacienda and staying in Mexico City to show support for Alejandro.

Florencia asked Renata, "What did you do with Cesar in New York? Did you go to bed with him?" Renata refused to answer, saying it was a personal question.

Fernanda told Florencia (and later Miranda) that she's moving in with them. Both were pleased.

Florencia ordered Nuria to leave the house tomorrow, saying Fabricio would give her some money. Fernanda said Nuria could live in her apartment.

Florencia told Miranda and Fernanda that it was Bertha and Guapo who kidnapped Fabricio. Fernanda told her daughters that Bertha is claiming to be Nuria's mother.

Francisco, Amparo, Raul, and Carola returned home after spending a week helping the storm victims. Raul pointed out to Francisco that Amparo never mentioned Roman's name during the week. Francisco said maybe Amparo doesn't really love Roman.

Gavino called Miranda from the hacienda and said Bertha can look high and low for Nati but she'll never find her.

Renata admitted to Bertha that she slept with Cesar in New York. She said she feels guilty, but Bertha told her she is young and should do whatever she wants, etc. Bertha then called Cesar and said they had to plan to do something to Renata.
