Heridas de Amor - Episode 1
Heridas de Amor means "Wounds of Love."
The old guy is named Gonzalo. He's apparently rich. He has three daughters: Miranda, Florencia, and Renata.
Miranda is the one with long curly hair. She is considered domineering. She is engaged to the young dark-haired guy, Fabricio. The wedding is all planned and apparently supposed to be soon.
However, Fabricio is secretly in love with Miranda's sister Florencia and planning to marry her instead. Florencia feels guilty about this. She's the one with straight reddish-brown hair. She is worried that Fabricio doesn't really love her, that he only wants to marry her out of pity because she's sick.
The blonde sister is named Renata. Miranda accused her of using their father for money. Miranda also doesn't get along with their aunt, Bertha, who raised them, because she found out that Bertha wants to marry Gonzalo (Miranda's father). Miranda's friend, Pamela, said that everyone likes Bertha except Miranda, and Miranda replied that Bertha acts virtuous but she's really "a demon in angel's skin."
Miranda confronted Bertha, accusing her of getting into Gonzalo's bed for money. Bertha muttered to herself, "I hate you, Miranda. I hate you as much as your mother!" Bertha is scheming to help Florencia get together with Miranda's fiance, Fabricio.
Bertha told Gonzalo that Florencia is dying of a heart condition and only has months to live. She said no one else knows about this. Gonzalo told Bertha, "Eighteen years ago you brought me news that broke my heart, but this news you bring me now is destroying my soul."
Fabricio's friend, Alejandro, is the businessman who fell in love-at-first-sight with Miranda at the airport. I don't think he knows her identity. Alejandro seems to have a grudge against Miranda's father.
The guy with the beard is named Cesar. He is Gonzalo's right-hand man. I think he's a villain. He visited Bertha, who told him that she knows Cesar has always been in love with Miranda. She said Fabricio will soon break Miranda's heart, which will leave Miranda in a vulnerable position and give Cesar a chance to win her over.
At the end of the show, Miranda welcomed Fabricio home. He told her, "No, I can't kiss you. I did come back from Germany to get married, but not to you. To your sister."
