I'm trying to learn Spanish by watching telenovelas. Please share your comments about the shows, too. I know I'm not the only English-speaking person who's hooked on telenovelas!

Heridas de Amor - Episode 31

Renata told Miranda that she must have stolen Bertha's jewelry even though she doesn't remember doing it. Miranda said, "You are not a thief. Don't jump to conclusions."

Later Miranda asked Fernanda if kleptomaniacs forget stealing things, and Fernanda said no. She said she would research it further for Miranda.

Florencia overheard Fabricio telling Fernanda that he's upset because Florencia is going to die. Florencia became hysterical and prayed, "I don't want to die! Why me, why my baby?"

She remembered Pamela saying she would pay for stealing Fabricio from Miranda, and said to herself, "Pamela was right. God is punishing me. And it's Miranda's fault!"

Later she accused Fabricio, again, of not loving her and only marrying her out of pity. She ordered him to stop helping Miranda with the family's financial problems, saying, "If she has problems, let her handle them by herself. We are married!"

Gonzalo told his fellow prisoner, the Tycoon, "Fernanda belongs to me, only me."

Francisco shouted at Raul because Daira invited them to have dinner with her and Lisania. He ordered Raul to "stay away from girls of that class." Raul told his father to treat him like a man. Amparo tried to defend Raul, and Francisco started shouting at her, saying he is the only one who will decide what's best for his sons.

Amparo got upset and reminded him that she is the one who has cooked and cleaned and taken care of the boys all these years, that's why she never got married. Francisco said it's not his fault she didn't marry, and she said, "You think all you have to do is give me a little money," that men don't know how much work goes into raising children and he will never understand.

Pamela's mother, Andrea, had a flashback of some kind, telling Pamela that she remembered "men destroyed the house," but she didn't know that they were looking for, and she had to run away. This had something to do with Pamela's father and a killing. (Probably related to the shooting of Alejandro's father.)

A man told Carola that Sanson is planning to set up Raul somehow during a bank robbery (I think).

Julio's sons, Daniel and Angel, offered Juan as much money as he makes in a year if he would sign a paper saying that Julio is incapacitated. Juan angrily refused and made it clear that he will protect their father from them.

When Alejandro brought a mariachi band to serenade Miranda, Bertha of course interrupted by kissing Alejandro. He asked, "Why did you do that?" and she said, "Serenades make me emotional."

He asked her again for the portfolio of his father's designs, saying he wants them for sentimental reasons, not financial reasons. Bertha claimed that she doesn't have them but she knows who does, then invited him in for a drink.

Florencia broke down and asked Fabricio why he loves her, not Miranda, when Miranda is so strong and beautiful and popular, while Florencia is none of these things (she thinks). Fabricio said, "Miranda doesn't need me to protect her. That is why I love you."

Julio told Rebeca that Cesar, not Gonzalo, commited the business fraud and he intends to turn Cesar in. Rebeca begged him not to betray her son.

Alejandro asked Bertha if she loved his father, and she said, "Your concept of love and mine are probably very different." He asked what her concept is, and she said she believes love has to involve "wounds and pain." Fernanda came into the room and I think she told Alejandro that talking to Bertha about love was like talking to a hyena.
