I'm trying to learn Spanish by watching telenovelas. Please share your comments about the shows, too. I know I'm not the only English-speaking person who's hooked on telenovelas!

Heridas de Amor - Episode 32

Bertha told Alejandro that Fernanda took his mother (Sofia) away from his father even though his mother was Fernanda's best friend. Alejandro asked Fernanda if that was true, and Fernanda said yes. She told Bertha, "My worst mistake was trusting you."

Alejandro tried to question Fernanda further, but she got upset and left. Al. thought to himself, "She is hiding something, and it involves my parents."

Bertha asked her dog, "What pleasure do people get from feelings? I don't understand. I am going to teach Alejandro a new kind of love." (cue evil music)

Florencia begged Fernanda to help her live long enough to give birth to her baby. She said she never know how bad her heart condition was because the only person who talked to the doctors was Bertha.

Miranda yelled at Alejandro for kissing Bertha, and Alejandro finally told her Bertha has his father's portfolio of designs.

Juan told Francisco and Amparo that Fernanda is sending him to Tabasco to take care of a sick person (that would be Florencia). Fernanda later mentioned that Juan will be in charge of giving Florencia her medications (to prevent Bertha from tampering with them, no doubt).

Francisco and Amparo told Juan that Fernanda is the mother of Florencia, Miranda, and Renata, but he shouldn't reveal her identity to the family.

Renata's "best friend," the drug dealer Veronica (who framed Renata for shoplifting), met Fabricio and became interested in him.

Raul and Lisania agreed that they won't let their parents separate them.

Florencia had an argument with Fabricio because he left her for a few hours to work on his project (I haven't figured out what the project is). Fabricio told her that he tries everything to please her, but it's impossible, it's like climbing Mount Everest.
