I'm trying to learn Spanish by watching telenovelas. Please share your comments about the shows, too. I know I'm not the only English-speaking person who's hooked on telenovelas!

Heridas de Amor - Episode 60

Lisania demanded her inheritance from Alejandro, saying, "I want my money. I want to have my own life, to be independent."

Daira said worriedly, "It's a lot of money." Alejandro offered to get Lisania her own apartment and car, but Lisania insisted on receiving her full inheritance. Alejandro told Daira, "If Lisania demands it, we'll have to give her one-third of all we have."

Charito gave Alfredo Luque's portfolio to Miranda and Pamela, but it was empty. Miranda called Alejandro and told him he had it. He said he would come right over, hanging up before she could tell him it was empty.

Fernanda asked Juan why he went to Carola's apartment on his wedding night. Juan insisted he only went there to see Raul and to apologize because Renata was rude to Carola. Fernanda asked if he and Renata are happy, and Juan said yes. Fernanda asked him to help her reconcile with Renata.

After Sanson burst into the apartment, Renata told him Amparo and Francisco were home. He laughed and said no, they're out selling tacos and Juan is working at the hospital, so "now is a good time to get to know you better." He grabbed Renata and she started screaming for help. Cesar arrived and rescued her.

After throwing Sanson out, Cesar asked Renata, "What are you doing here?" She explained that she's married to Juan, adding that she loves Juan but he doesn't believe it.

The bank director visited Santiago and told him, "I work at a bank. I have a happy family, and I'm soon going to get a promotion at work. But years ago I made a mistake that could affect my family." He also said his mother is sick, and if Bertha gets him fired from his job his family will lose everything.

Santiago asked, "What are you thinking of doing?" and the banker said, "Denounce Bertha de Aragon." Santiago tried to talk him out of it, saying it will ruin the banker's life if he admits to taking part in Bertha's scheme years ago. The banker said, "Someone has to put a stop to this woman," but Santiago told him he'll ask Alejandro to drop his investigation of Bertha. The banker thanked him.

Gonzalo called a press conference and said he wants investors to know San Llorente investements didn't commit fraud, that his family name is still clean. A reporter surprised him by saying, "Years ago you committed a murder." Gonzalo said such stories are "rumors without proof," then ended the conference.

After the conference, Gonzalo snarled at Luciano, "You are not an investor or a businessman," that he knows Luciano is really working for Alejandro. He ordered Luciano to go back to "your boss" and tell him to be a man and stop working through Luciano, saying he expects to see Alejandro in person next time (or something to that effect).

Alejandro arrived at Miranda's house and inspected the empty portfolio. He said, "At this time, Bertha owns all my fortune."

Fabricio and Florencia returned from their trip and said a doctor in Miami told them Florencia is now responding well to her treatment. Miranda said Fernanda is arranging for Florencia to have a heart transplant after the baby is born.

After learning Bertha has gone to Europe, Florencia revealed that Bertha's previous trip was also to Europe (not New York, as she told the family). Miranda and Alejandro wondered what Bertha's up to. Alejandro said everything Bertha does is carefully planned out.

Alejandro told Fernanda that Miranda now knows Florencia isn't Gonzalo's daughter. She told him Gonzalo knows, too.

Cesar seems to have been working with Sanson all along, because after leaving Renata he bought Sanson new clothes and gave him a new name.

Fabricio received an email from Germany and gasped, "My God, it can't be!"

Renata visited Gonzalo's office and said, "I only came to tell you I'm married." Gonzalo said, "You married WHO?" and Juan arrived to say, "Me, Senor."

This is the first time we've seen Cesar with Sanson, right? It confused me because it seemed so sudden, however I realize the episodes air differently in the US than they did in Mexico so the editing can sometimes be very choppy.

It's the first time I can remember seeing Cesar and Sanson together so I was surprised, too. I'm wondering if Cesar put Sanson up to stealing Alejandro's car? Also, maybe Sanson's attack on Renata was staged (Cesar's arrival was awfully convenient). But I didn't catch enough of their conversation to be sure.
