Heridas de Amor - Episode 51

Gonzalo told Bertha, "I'm not interested in making alliances, much less with you." Bertha said, "Whether you like it or not, we are in this together."

Miranda for some reason refused to call the police about Alejandro's car jacking and instead rushed out to find him. Gonzalo didn't want her to go alone so he accompanied her. Alejandro's car was stolen but he wasn't seriously injured. He told Gonzalo he'd like to talk to him tomorrow at the office, and Gonzalo agreed.

Bertha asked Tomasa why Juan is at the hacienda and why he and Fernanda are having Florencia's medicine analyzed. Tomasa said, "You're not a woman, Bertha de Aragon. You're the devil in person!" She said Alfredo Luque didn't love Bertha and Bertha couldn't stand that, so she arranged the confrontation between him and Gonzalo.

Bertha told Tomasa, "I had your sons killed!" She also revealed that Tomasa's granddaughter is Nuria. When Tomasa tried to leave the room, Bertha told the dog, "Lucas, attack!" When trying to escape, Tomasa fell down some stairs.

Gonzalo came home in time to hear Tomasa's final words, "She shot!" He asked Bertha what Tomasa meant by that. Bertha said she had no idea, then had a flashback to the night of the shooting when SHE, not Gonzalo, actually shot Alfredo Luque (although Gonzalo doesn't know that). After the shooting, Tomasa for some reason gave Bertha's hidden gun to Nati, who ran away with it.

Meanwhile, back at the hacienda, Renata said to herself, "No, I can't be in love with Juan! Ok, I like him. Ay, I am in love with Juan! Juan Jimenez. One of my sons is going to be named Gonzalo Juan Jimenez San Lorente! No, Papa will never permit it!"

Later Juan woke Renata up and asked her to marry him. Renata said her father won't permit it and Juan replied, "You're not a girl. You don't need your father's permission."

Raul informed the police that Sanson's gang is planning to rob the bank tomorrow.

At the police station, Alejandro told Miranda, "I'm sure I know those guys" (ie the guys who attacked him). Then he remembered seeing them when he visited Fernanda, and told Miranda, "Your mother knows them." (They are members of Sanson's gang.)

Cesar's bimbo told him that Luciano's friend is named Alejandro Luque. Cesar asked Luciano, "Why didn't you tell me you're Alejandro's friend?" Luciano said he knows that simpleton Alejandro but it's just a business relationship. Cesar said, "We are going to teach that simpleton a lesson." Luciano asked why Cesar dislikes Alejandro, and Cesar said it's about a woman. Luciano said, "Miranda San Lorente."

Bertha said to a police officer, "Tomasa was part of the family. And now she's not here. Why, God!" Gonzalo told the police he doesn't suspect anyone, "Why would anyone want to hurt Tomasa?"

Luciano told Alejandro he's going to buy Cesar's country house. Alejandro was pleased because for some reason this is part of his revenge plot.

Bertha yelled at Charito (the maid) for crying about Tomasa's death, saying (I think), "One more tear and you're going to go with her." I think she ordered Charito to immediately throw all Tomasa's possessions into the trash.

Excellent recap! Poor Tomasa, just when she finds out she had a granddaughter she has to bite the dust. I wonder if this will be like Barrera de Amor where they kill people off in groups? Who could be next? Probably Carola during the robbery since she's trying to turn her life around and all.

Ohh true, Carola is a likely goner due to her unrequited love for Juan. I think Gonzalo will probably end up dying, too. And I'm hoping Bertha gets killed by her own dog! (I must say, that poor dog didn't look very fierce in the attack scene, although the director tried his best.)
