Heridas de Amor - Episode 52

Renata asked Bertha why she visited Germany. Bertha said her friend has property there and -- not sure about this next part, but -- I think she said the friend intends to leave the property to Renata?? She told Renata not to say one word about it to anyone.

Juan told Amparo he wants to marry Renata and bring her home to live with his family for a while. Amparo didn't seem to think that was a good idea.

Later Juan told Fernanda he wants to marry her daughter. Fernanda pointed out that he and Renata come from "different worlds" and their life together might be hell. Juan said he can earn money as a doctor. Fernanda said she regards him as a son and seemed to approve of the marriage, but she too looked worried when he suggested bringing Renata to live in the neighborhood.

Bertha told the family she was in the kitchen with Charito and the dog when Tomasa fell to her death.

Later Charito asked Bertha why she said that, and Bertha insisted that she WAS in the kitchen and that's what Charito had better tell the police and anyone else who asks. When Charito tried to argue, Bertha threatened to accuse Charito of killing Tomasa.

Fernanda told Alejandro that with Tomasa and Nati gone, no one really knows what happened on the night Alfredo was shot, and she doesn't think Tomasa's death was an accident. Alejandro said it's "hard to imagine" that Bertha killed Tomasa. Fernanda said he's probably right, Bertha wouldn't kill someone in cold blood.

Alejandro told Fernanda the guys who attacked him live in her neighborhood, and that Miranda (listening to the attack on the telephone) heard two of their names and wrote them down. I think Alejandro said he wants to find the guys.

Raul overheard this conversation and reported it to Carola. She told Raul to convince Alejandro to call the police on Sanson and his gang, "then we will be saved."

Renata told Miranda, "Florencia and I were invisible to Tomasa" because Miranda got all the attention. (I think Renata got this idea from Bertha.)

Gonzalo told Renata he wanted to speak with her alone. When he tried to hug her, Renata said he'd never done that before (or words to that effect), "You always treated me as a thing, a mascot."

Gonzalo said, "I know I was a little distant. I'm sorry for being busy with my work," and that he'd like to be friends with Renata. She retorted, "I'm sure the only thing you know about me is my name."

Gonzalo pointed out, "You live the life of a princess," and Renata snapped, "I don't know one princess who is the daughter of a --" I didn't catch what she called him, but he slapped her across the face. Renata said now she knows what he really is.

Miranda told Pamela, "Bertha wouldn't have been on the stairs at that hour," and pointed out how strange it was that Tomasa had the accident right after Bertha returned.

Renata told Bertha she wants to get revenge on Gonzalo. Bertha criticized Renata for not hating properly, saying Renata should savor her hate, "make it part of your body."

Renata asked if she could get revenge on Gonzalo by "marrying a poor guy." Bertha liked that idea, then asked who Renata had in mind. Renata admitted that she and Juan are in love. Bertha smirked and (I think?) advised a "hidden marriage" between Renata and Juan.

Miranda told Pamela she's reluctant to marry Alejandro because if she does, someday he'll think she did it for his money.

Charito packed Tomasa's possessions, saying she's not going to throw them out as Bertha ordered, but give them to someone for safekeeping. She found some papers and worried about whether to destroy them or give them to Bertha.
