Heridas de Amor - Episode 81

Crying, Nuria told Luis Alberto (over the phone) that he's her only friend. She said Cesar changed his mind about letting her move in with him, and she's also upset because she learned Bertha is her mother. I think Luis Alberto said he would meet her later.

Santiago told Cesar about Bertha's shopping trip with Amparo, Renata, and Erika. Cesar wondered, "What is Bertha's objective with this family?"

Florencia asked Miranda to tell her the truth as her sister, woman to woman, "Whose daughter am I not?" Miranda said, "My papa's, but it doesn't matter. For my father, you are a daughter." Florencia said, "Is it true? He knows and doesn't mind? I want to see him. I want to hug him. He's the only father I have."

Miranda explained that Gonzalo was out of the country, then said, "That's not all. You have to know something more. Alejandro and you are siblings."

Florencia thanked Miranda for telling her the truth. "You've always been strong, courageous about confronting things. How much you cared for me. Thanks only to you, I was a happy child." They hugged.

Fermin checked his bank records and discovered that Leonardo's money was invested in a company that makes weapons. Luciano said, "This is the big leagues. We are on dangerous ground."

When Alejandro learned about this he said, "Then we are talking about trafficking in arms." He said he would take Leonardo (aka The Tycoon) to the airport tomorrow.

Pamela told Andrea, "I thought I had a father to protect me, but it was a dream." Leonardo said to them both, "I am profoundly sorry to have caused you pain." Pamela said, "Thank you for giving me the illusion I had a father," and she and Andrea kissed him.

Cesar beat up Lisania, leaving bruises on her face, then told her to leave because her screams were getting on his nerves. She said, "I'll leave but I don't know if I'll return tomorrow." Cesar snarled, "Return. I know very well that you will do it," and threw her out of his apartment.

Renata said to Erika, "Fernanda de Aragon returned to our lives, and I don't know what to do, how to treat her." Erika advised her to listen to Fernanda's version of things.

Wacko Bertha told Lucas (the dog), "You don't know everything I've done, and when I tell you, you're going to be very proud of Mama. Now I have to help Florencia die, end Renata's marriage, and avoid by all means Miranda becoming pregnant. Also I have to take care of Daira and Lisania to torture Alejandro. Yes, Alejandro, soon you will know my concept of love!"

Charo informed Miranda that Veronica recently came to the house looking for Bertha. Miranda ordered her not to let anyone into the house, then locked her bedroom door.

Leonardo called Alejandro and asked him to do something, saying, "I've been thinking, and this is the only way to stop them from bothering us forever." Alejandro said he would feel guilty about doing what Leonardo asked, but Leonardo said, "You are too intelligent to blame yourself for things that aren't your fault." Alejandro agreed to Leonardo's plan, saying, "You are a total gentleman."

Daira asked Alejandro, "What are you going to do?" and he said, "Hand Leonardo over to the police. That's what he asked me to do."

Miranda looked through the envelope Florencia found in Bertha's room and wondered, "What's Bertha doing with all Nuria's papers?" She decided to give them to Nuria, then began thinking about Alejandro, saying, "I want to see him, hug him, kiss him."

The next day, Charo told Bertha that Gonzalo went to London. Bertha looked very worried.

Carola told Renata, "Please don't upset Fernanda. She's a great woman. You don't know how she's suffered for her three girls." She told Renata a long story that made Renata cry. Carola said, "I only wanted you to know her side of the story." Renata then gave Carola a new jacket.

Daira got a phone call from Cesar, who asked if Lisania is all right, claiming he heard from her friends that "a guy" hit her.

At the airport, Ambrosio (the leader of the corrupt government agents) told his men, "The Tycoon already left the suitcases where we said. We have the money. Now we have to escort him."

Meanwhile Leonardo, walking through the airport, thought to himself, "How good to know I am leaving this place to be free forever."

Then Ambrosio got a call telling him, "Abort the mission! The suitcases are empty!" Ambrosio said, "That bastard! We have to leave here. The Tycoon didn't bring the money. I swear those old women are going to die, and the banker!"

He followed Leonardo onto an escalator and shot him in the back, then said, "Tell me where the money is, or the old women will die!" but a police SWAT team appeared and shot Ambrosio.

Leonardo asked an officer, "Did you arrest them all?" The cop said, "We have detained all the leaders of the gang. Don't worry." At that, Leonardo died.

Wow, what an episode! I've been out of town for a week and am just now catching up. I wasn't planning to watch any of the past week's episodes but after reading your recap I think I'll have to watch Friday's. Outstanding recap, thanks!

It was a good episode, and the ending was a shocker!

I think Leonardo knew he was going to die -- just something about the look on his face when he got on that last escalator.
