Heridas de Amor - Episode 91
Miranda told Luciano she would spend the night at her father's house because Daira and Alejandro need to be alone to talk.
Renata argued with herself in the mirror about which she loves better: Juan or a life of luxury. She ended up yelling and shaking her hairbrush at her reflection. She's not crazy or anything.
Daira told Alejandro she dreamed she saw Lizania smiling and heard her laughter and voice, then woke up smelling Lizania's perfume in the room. Alejandro said he had the same dream, but they were both imagining things. Daira said, "Or it could be confirmation that she is OK." Alejandro said, "I hope so."
Daira said again that she wants to return to Italy, and assured Alejandro that neither of them is to blame for Lizania's death. Alejandro thanked her. Daira said, "I am sure that some place, one day, I will meet my daughter again."
Charo told Miranda about the phone call Bertha received from a friend in Italy, telling Bertha that Alejandro has powerful friends there.
Trinidiad told Guapo that Fabricio asked her to call his mother but claimed she didn't do it. Guapo told her he won't kill Fabricio. After Trinidad left, he threw a bucket of water over Fabricio to wake him up, saying it was time for Fabricio to leave and "carry out your destiny."
Cesar visited Bertha at Gonzalo's house. Charo told them Juan was there with Renata. Bertha fumed that it was the last time Juan would set foot in the house. Cesar said, "We have to think of something very strong for Juanita. Something that will hurt his soul." Bertha suggested, "Renata," and Cesar said he totally agreed.
Bertha interrupted a romantic moment between Renata and Juan, claiming she'd thought Renata was alone. Juan told Bertha, "Renata is my wife, and I should be at her side." Just then Gonzalo arrived and Bertha stared at him like a deer in the headlights.
Bertha complained that Gonzalo thinks the worst of her, asking Renata if she'd ever done anything to hurt her. Renata said no. Bertha said SHE took care of Renata while Gonzalo was too busy working, bla bla bla. Renata looked a bit bored by Bertha's ranting. Juan said, "I'm sorry for interrupting, Bertha, but this has nothing to do with what we were saying." Gonzalo agreed, "That's right, Bertha, don't try to confuse us."
Renata said they were crucifying Bertha and gave her a hug. Juan said sternly, "Renata, you haven't greeted your dad. Renata, your dad is waiting." So Renata hugged Gonzalo, causing Bertha to run out of the room crying.
She ran to her room and raved to Lucas that Juan had unhinged her (that's for sure), then said something like, "Very well, Johnny. If you don't want to submit for the good, you have a lot of family to force you to submit for the bad. You're going to be crawling at my feet, Johnny, and when you are, I'm going to teach you something you'll never forget."
Renata went to comfort Bertha, leaving Juan and Gonzalo alone together. Juan said Bertha's not going to separate him from Renata because he loves her. Gonzalo said, "I don't know if she loves you the same way. There are many things that separate you. Maybe you don't have a future." Juan insisted that he and Renata love each other with all their souls. Gonzalo said, "I spoke only for your sake. It's better. Renata is my daughter --" and Juan interrupted to remind him that Renata is his wife. "Please, sir, allow me to occupy the place where I belong." Gonzalo patted him on the shoulder and left the room.
Meanwhile Renata listened to Bertha sobbing that Juan is trying to take her place in the house. "He treated me like trash. Why do you let him treat me this way? Talk to him and tell him to respect me! It's the only thing I ask!"
Renata went to Juan and told him to respect Bertha. Juan said he only defended himself against Bertha and obviously it was a mistake for him to come here. He said he was going home, adding, "Come back with me to the only place I can offer now." The next day we see Renata having breakfast with Bertha, so obviously she chose not to go home with Juan.
Gonzalo told Miranda he knows fathers aren't supposed to have favorites, but he's always been closest to her and would give his life for her happiness. Miranda said, "I would give my life for you, too, if necessary," and they embraced.
Carola was promoted to supervisor at the supermarket.
Alejandro told Luciano he's not going to investigate Lizania's death since Daira doesn't want him to and Lizania died of natural causes.
Cesar kissed Nuria violently. She said he was hurting her and Cesar growled, "If it doesn't hurt, it's not love," and forced her to agree. Nuria started cleaning the apartment and found Lizania's necklace. She put it on.
Later she came home as Cesar was leaving. He told her that Fabricio was there, but not to ask any questions about how he was rescued and not to cook anything for him. After Cesar left, Fab. came out of the bedroom and told Nuria he isn't going immediately to see his mother and Florencia because Cesar said the shock would be too much for them. Nuria told him she's living with Cesar because she's married to him. Fabricio said he was hungry, so Nuria went to make breakfast for him.
Cesar went to his mother's house and found Rebeca with Miranda. He told Rebeca dramatically that she has to raise a million pesos "or they'll kill Fabricio."

2 Comments:
Cesar made the same "If it doesn't hurt..." comment to Lizania way back when. He and Bertha are getting crazier and crazier. Great recap, thanks so much.
They're good actors. Cesar in particular is starting to creep me out for real!
