Heridas de Amor - Episode 93
After seeing the shooting scene again, it appears to me that Bertha shot Gonzalo first. As Alejandro was coming up the path, he heard another gunshot, which might have been Guapo.
At the funeral home, someone (Vicente?) told Miranda that Alejandro was being detained by the police. Renata said, "Why? He is innocent!" and Fernanda agreed. Vicente (or whoever) said ballistic tests showed that Alejandro fired the same gun that killed Gonzalo. That, along with Bertha and Cesar's statements against Alejandro, made it nearly impossible to get Alejandro out of jail.
Miranda and Renata sobbed over Gonzalo's casket and, later, his ashes while Cesar and Bertha looked on. Meanwhile, at Amparo's birthday party, Juan (who has a great voice!) sang a sad song about what a great guy his father is.
Miranda visited Alejandro in jail and told him, "I believe you, my love." Alejandro said he shot Guapo so there should be some evidence in the house, but Miranda said the authorities found no trace. Alejandro asked, "What if Bertha and Cesar are accomplices of the Guapo?"
Vicente arrived and told them Bertha and Cesar had both tested negative for having fired a gun (?? maybe Bertha didn't shoot Gonzalo?)
Cesar and Bertha barged into Charo's room and demanded to know what she told the police. She assured them that she said what they ordered her to say -- that she heard Gonzalo arguing with Alejandro, then gunshots. Cesar threatened her, saying she would spend the rest of her days with Guapo if she opened her mouth, and Bertha told him not to scare Charo, "She knows her life will be terrible without fingers, without a tongue in her mouth." Before they left, Cesar lifted Charo's skirt and looked at her legs. When they were gone, Charo prayed to find a way to get Alejandro out of jail.
Rebeca and Julio complained to Cesar about not being asked to attend Gonzalo's wake. Cesar said, "Alejandro used us all in his revenge plot against Gonzalo," but Julio said he didn't believe it.
Fernanda and Fabricio broke the news to Florencia, who sobbed that she wanted to die.
Luciano told Alejandro he hadn't been able to reach Daira by telephone. Alejandro told him to fire Luis Alberto immediately and not to trust anyone except Vicente. Alejandro remembered the shooting and realized if Cesar and Bertha accused him of the murder so decisively, they must be in on it.
Wacko Bertha looked at objects on Gonzalo's desk, crying, then told Lucas, "I never imagined I would enjoy these moments with such intensity." She whined that Miranda stole Alejandro's love from her, then remembered Alejandro saying Bertha would never understand sublime wounds of love. Bertha said, "Yes, I understand," then stabbed herself in the chest with a letter opener(!!!) -- enough to soak her blouse with blood but apparently not a serious wound, unfortunately.
Juan (angry because Renata didn't show up for Amparo's party) complained to Santiago (the priest) that he and Renata hadn't had a moment of peace together since their marriage, "Maybe God doesn't want us together." Santiago said their happiness is their own responsibility, not God's.
I think(?) Nati told Gavino and Arcadia that Gonzalo's ghost will return to the hacienda.
Carola brought Amparo and Francisco a newspaper containing a report of Gonzalo's death. Juan arrived and Amparo told him to call Renata immediately. Juan asked why and Carola said, "Alejandro Luque killed Gonzalo San Llorente."
Vicente visited Alejandro again and told him all he knows about Gonzalo's investigation in London is that Gonzalo discovered many parallel accounts. Alejandro urged him to investigate further.
After Vicente left, Miranda told Alejandro, "We're going to need a lot of money to get you out of here. I wish I were pregnant." Alejandro said, "No, I've been thinking, and it's better you don't have a child." Miranda looked stunned.
