Heridas de Amor - Episode 98
Nuria's baby was buried. That night, Miranda found her walking in the hallway with the other baby. Nuria told Florencia it was her baby. Miranda told her she needed to get some sleep.
The lawyer (Liliana) told Alejandro she would visit Miranda to get her to sign some papers and go over her testimony. After Liliana received a phone call from her daughter, Alejandro said, "I didn't know you were married." Liliana said she's not.
Amparo, Francisco, Carola, and Raul arrived at the hacienda with food, clothes, and money for the storm victims. Amparo commented to Francisco that Miranda looked pale and haggard.
Miranda told Luciano she thinks El Guapo was at the hacienda on the night of the storm.
Bertha told Cesar that Nuria isn't really her daughter. She can't have children. He demanded to know why she stole Nuria as a child. Bertha demanded to know why he married Nuria.
Sanson caught Nati eavesdropping on this conversation and brought her to Cesar and Bertha. Nati insisted she wasn't spying and no one sent her. Cesar let her go, warning her she'll be arrested if she trespasses on his property again.
Sanson told Cesar and Bertha that Alejandro's lawyer has found contradictions in their statements against him. Cesar said, "We'll have to get a good lawyer," and Bertha said, "Why? We're not accused of anything." She and Cesar ordered Sanson to follow Liliana and report everything she does to them.
Alejandro beat up two inmates who had been harrassing him. Santiago visited Alejandro and told him not to give up hope. Alejandro said he thinks Bertha is behind everything.
The owners of the neighboring haciendas visited Miranda to try to convince her to sell her property to developers. She refused and urged them not to sell. Just then Liliana arrived and introduced herself to Miranda.
Miranda was hostile to Liliana, telling her she should have called and arranged a meeting instead of simply showing up. Liliana pointed out that the storm made communication impossible.
Nuria cuddled Florencia's baby and asked herself how she would tell Cesar about their child's death, "He's going to beat me to death." Florencia found her and yelled at her for taking the baby from Florencia's room. Nuria claimed the baby was crying and Florencia said that wasn't true. Fabricio arrived. Florencia reminded Nuria that her baby is dead.
Renata arrived. Carola asked if she was planning to stay long, and Renata said sarcastically, "Remember that this is my house," then asked how long Carola was planning to stay. Carola said, "I don't know. I came as soon as Juan asked." Renata said this is her house, Juan is her husband. Carola laughed and said, "Not for long," because she heard they're getting divorced. Renata said, "That's none of your business," and stormed away. Amparo scolded Carola for fighting with Renata.
The exhausted Miranda finally collapsed and was taken away in an ambulance. Juan said he thinks she has pneumonia.
Fabricio told Florencia he will only be home for one day, then leaving again on business. Florencia told Bertha nastily to go away because she wanted to spend time alone with her husband.
Cesar arrived at the hacienda and embraced Nuria, pretending to be eager to see their baby (although in reality he already knew the baby was dead). Nuria told him the baby had died and Cesar said quietly, "You're useless. You're no good for anything." Nuria said it wasn't her fault, it was crib death. Cesar looked into her eyes and said softly, "The only person who deserves to die is you, my love."
He continued hugging and touching her creepily while saying in a mild tone, "How am I going to overcome such a harsh blow? It's your fault my child died. We are going to return to Mexico City to start divorce proceedings. I don't want you in my life anymore, imbecile."
