Heridas de Amor - Episode 36

Miranda told Alejandro she saw his father's portfolio of designs on Bertha's bed, and promised to get it back for him. Alejandro mentioned that his mother died of cancer when he was 10. (His mother, Sofia, was the one Bertha killed by switching her medications.)

He told Miranda to marry him and said his money will be at her disposal. "I love you. I will give everything I have not to see you sad." Miranda took offense to this, saying, "I am never going to marry a man to save my father from ruin." Alejandro said he didn't mean it that way.

Rebeca told a maid that Julio is moving in with her. Julio said maybe his sons wouldn't like that, and Rebeca told him his sons couldn't be bothered to visit him after his heart attack. "They are as selfish as Cesar."

Bertha told Fernanda she was Gonzalo's lover before and after his marriage to Fernanda. Fernanda said, "Yes, but I was the love of Alfredo's life, and I am Gonzalo's wife!" which upset Bertha.

Fernanda accused Bertha of arranging the confrontation between Alfredo and Gonzalo, and said Bertha will have a lot of explaining to do after Gonzalo gets out of jail. Bertha replied, "One word from you and Florencia will die."

When Lisania arrived with Raul, Renata was rude to him because he's poor. Florencia told Raul not to listen to Renata, that Juan is here to help her and his brother is welcome here too. Renata's friends convinced Renata to "apologize" to Raul, which she did saying she had only objected to his presence because she didn't want her pregnant sister to catch an infection from him. Raul said, "I accept your apology."

Juan explained to Raul that Fernanda is the girls' mother but her daughters don't know it. Raul said Renata's house is like a place in a movie, and after seeing it he believes he should break up with Lisania because they are from different classes. Juan said poor people like them need to be hard-working so rich people will respect them.

Miranda and Rebeca asked Julio to support Miranda against Luciano's attempt to sell the business, but Julio told Miranda not to count on him. (I think he's upset because Gonzalo broke up their partnership by giving the business to Miranda.) Miranda said resolutely, "My father's business is not going to disappear."

The priest, Santiago, visited Alejandro and asked him about his relationship with Bertha. Alejandro angrily told his uncle not to treat him like a child, not to interrogate him. He explained that Bertha has his father's portfolio and he wants it back.

Santiago apologized and said, "Only take care," because Bertha is a very bad woman. Alejandro said, "I already know who she is," and the priest replied, "No, I assure you, no one knows what this woman is." He asked Alejandro to stop seeking revenge for what happened to his father, to leave it in God's hands. Alejandro said angrily, "You are a saint and I am a man," and stormed out.

After her argument with Bertha, Fernanda said to herself, "I can't wait any longer. Miranda has to know who I am." She called and arranged to meet Miranda.

Heridas de Amor - Episode 35

Cesar told his friend Luis Alberto that he will save Miranda's father and San Llorente investments in order to impress Miranda. Luis Alberto said, "You love her that much?" and Cesar said yes.

Vicente (the lawyer) told Miranda at the board meeting that Gonzalo has given all his shares to her, making her the company's new president.

Luciano told the board members that (since he has Julio's shares) he has a right to sell the business, and they said they have the right to make the first offer. He agreed to discuss that at their next meeting.

Later Luciano told Alejandro if Miranda takes over the business, she could be held responsible for Cesar's fraud. Alejandro looked worried.

I think Vicente told Miranda that Gonzalo had planned to give her the company for her birthday as a surprise. (Not sure but this may mean the company was already in Miranda's name when the fraud took place.)

Veronica begged Renata to forgive her and let her stay at the hacienda, and Renata superciliously agreed. Erica called Veronica a hypocrite, and Veronica said, "Be careful what you say, because you don't know me!"

Later Erica told Veronica to watch out or Renata will find out about her affair with Fabricio. Veronica said, "That's the idea. I want her to find out. All her life Renata has lived in a world of crystal, and now she's going to face reality."

The priest was praying to God about Bertha when she showed up. He said, "You are like a demon. I think of you and you are invoked."

She threatened him about something, saying, "Take care. Last time the church punished you. This time you will be excommunicated." Shocked, he asked how she knows that the church punished him, then exclaimed, "It was you who denounced me! It was your fault I had to leave the country!" Bertha nodded.

The priest said, "It was nothing to you to kill my sister Sofia! She and her husband Alfredo loved each other. Alfredo felt nothing for you except pity!" He warned her that he will do anything to protect his nephew Alejandro from her.

Bertha responded by kneeling and saying, "I want to confess, father." Reluctantly he listened to her confession (which the audience did not hear), then said, "How could you confess something so horrible? I don't want to commit a sin. Leave and never come back!"

Gleefully Bertha reminded him that he can't reveal her confession to anyone. He said, "You are a monster. There are no limits to your behavior." She agreed, "The word "limit" does not exist in my vocabulary," and said she has done many things that she's never told anyone. After she left, the priest prayed, "What am I going to do?"

Juan told Tomasa he's going to have Florencia's medicine analyzed. He's suspicious because she doesn't respond to treatment or exercise, and has no appetite. Her breathing is poor and she could die.

After Juan saw Fabricio kissing Veronica, he assured Fabricio that he won't tell Florencia because it would kill her.

Fernanda remembered Bertha telling her on the night of the shooting that Alfredo was waiting for Fernanda in the library. Bertha claimed she didn't know how Alfredo got there, but Fernanda realized, "Of course. There's no other way he could have gotten into the house. Bertha let him in!"

Carola came to Amparo and told her something -- it was vague, but I think Carola intends to give up prostitution. Amparo hugged her and said she was very happy.

Heridas de Amor - Episode 34

Miranda told the priest (Alejandro's uncle) that Bertha is in love with Alejandro. He looked shocked.

Amparo told Francisco that Roman didn't show up to take her out to eat. Francisco joked, "I have bad news. You will have to keep living here with us," and they both laughed.

Later Roman did visit Amparo and she asked him if he's married, single, widowed, or divorced. He said, "Single." Then he started questioning her about Fernanda, as usual, and she asked why he's so interested in Fernanda, "You don't like her, do you?"

Roman said no, then claimed that his father died when he was young and his mother was an invalid. Caring for her absorbed all his time, and that's why he's still single.

Bertha refused to tell Miranda what happened between her, Fernanda, and Alfredo. Miranda noticed the portfolio of Alfredo's designs on Bertha's bed. She said to herself, "The war between us is declared, Bertha."

Renata told Juan nastily, "You and I are not equals!" He said, "No, we're not, because you are badly educated and I am a gentleman." Renata stormed away, and Juan told Tomasa, "I never imagined my godmother would have such a beautiful daughter." Tomasa asked, "You like her?" and Juan said, "She is enchanting."

Tomasa told Juan that she likes his smile, his laugh, that he reminds her of her two sons, who died when they were his age.

Later Renata continued to be rude to Juan, telling him to stop swimming and get back to work, that he might infect the pool with germs, etc. but Juan found it all amusing.

Veronica (the drug dealer) didn't like Renata's attitude. Renata said Juan comes from a family of thieves, and Veronica said that makes him and Renata equals, since Renata is a thief, too. Veronica then tried to apologize, but Renata ordered her to leave the house.

(This was after Fabricio cheated on Florencia with Veronica, who sweet-talked him by telling him Florencia must know she's dying and she's using his guilt to manipulate him. Some guy, that Fabricio!)

Alejandro told Gonzalo that he wants to marry Miranda. Gonzalo's lawyer, Vicente, showed up and said Julio's sons are dropping the charges against Gonzalo. However, Gonzalo remembered Vicente warning him that if he leaves jail, Miranda will be immediately arrested. (Something to do with Cesar's fraud having been discovered and Miranda being the natural person to blame.)

Alejandro's friend Luciano, who has the restricted shares of the company, showed up at a board meeting and Miranda told him, "San Llorente Investments is not for sale."

Alejandro called Luciano and told him, "Gonzalo and his lawyer have a secret. I want to know what it is."

Julio told Fernanda he doesn't think what happened on the night of the shooting was happenstance, that someone provoked it. Then he said (I think) that Gonzalo was having an affair with Bertha before Fernanda and Gonzalo split up. Fernanda got upset and said for years Gonzalo has persecuted her for something she didn't to (cheat on him), and he has never given her a chance to explain. Julio said he wants to prove what really happened that night.

Heridas de Amor - Episode 33

Gonzalo told Miranda he doesn't want her to be around Cesar, that she should trust Alejandro instead.

Cesar asked Luis Alberto how he would win Miranda if he were in Cesar's place. Luis Alberto said he would try to save San Llorente Investments. To do that, Cesar said, he needs the reserved shares. He called the person who has the shares, not knowing it was Alejandro's friend Luciano, who was then playing golf with Alejandro.

Alejandro listened in on the call and told Luciano, "It is Cesar Beltran." Luciano said, "Are you sure?" and Alejandro replied, "He has an unmistakable voice."

Next Cesar asked Daniel and Angel to drop the charges against Gonzalo, saying he will give them their money back with interest. They argued with him and Cesar appeared to threaten them, but I didn't understand what he said.

The maid, Charo, told Miranda that Bertha is responsible for the hacienda servants quitting. Miranda physically attacked Bertha and Alejandro stopped her, saying, "You have to resolve this in a more intelligent way." Miranda retorted, "You think I'm an idiot. Thank you for telling me what concept you have of me."

Alejandro said maybe Bertha isn't really responsible, that Charo might be saying that only because Bertha fired her, and Miranda said, "Alejandro Luque defends Bertha de Aragon. I see it and I don't believe it."

Juan told Tomasa that he will take control of Florencia's medications. Tomasa said Bertha won't like it and will turn Florencia against it.

Fabricio saw Florencia talking to Juan and became jealous.

Fernanda told Pamela and her mother, Andrea, that Andrea's mental problems were due to some kind of psychological trauma in the past, that Andrea can leave the hospital and never has to come back. I think she assured Pamela that the problem isn't hereditary.

Alejandro told Daira that he's having problems with Miranda and he's confused about what to do. Daira said, "Bertha doesn't have anything to do with this, does she?" Alejandro said yes and Daira scolded, "Why do you let her come between you?"

Alejandro gave Lisania permission to go alone to visit Renata at the hacienda, but told her to remember that she's responsible for her behavior and no longer a child.

Miranda went to see Alejandro's uncle, the priest, and said she needs a friend. He mentioned that Bertha used to know Alejandro's mother, Sofia, and Miranda was surprised because Alejandro had told her otherwise. Miranda said it's strange that Gonzalo didn't know Sofia, since Sofia and Miranda's mother were best friends.

Miranda went home and confronted Bertha, demanding, "What happened between you, Alejandro's mother, my mother, and Alfredo Luque?"

Heridas de Amor - Episode 32

Bertha told Alejandro that Fernanda took his mother (Sofia) away from his father even though his mother was Fernanda's best friend. Alejandro asked Fernanda if that was true, and Fernanda said yes. She told Bertha, "My worst mistake was trusting you."

Alejandro tried to question Fernanda further, but she got upset and left. Al. thought to himself, "She is hiding something, and it involves my parents."

Bertha asked her dog, "What pleasure do people get from feelings? I don't understand. I am going to teach Alejandro a new kind of love." (cue evil music)

Florencia begged Fernanda to help her live long enough to give birth to her baby. She said she never know how bad her heart condition was because the only person who talked to the doctors was Bertha.

Miranda yelled at Alejandro for kissing Bertha, and Alejandro finally told her Bertha has his father's portfolio of designs.

Juan told Francisco and Amparo that Fernanda is sending him to Tabasco to take care of a sick person (that would be Florencia). Fernanda later mentioned that Juan will be in charge of giving Florencia her medications (to prevent Bertha from tampering with them, no doubt).

Francisco and Amparo told Juan that Fernanda is the mother of Florencia, Miranda, and Renata, but he shouldn't reveal her identity to the family.

Renata's "best friend," the drug dealer Veronica (who framed Renata for shoplifting), met Fabricio and became interested in him.

Raul and Lisania agreed that they won't let their parents separate them.

Florencia had an argument with Fabricio because he left her for a few hours to work on his project (I haven't figured out what the project is). Fabricio told her that he tries everything to please her, but it's impossible, it's like climbing Mount Everest.

Heridas de Amor - Episode 31

Renata told Miranda that she must have stolen Bertha's jewelry even though she doesn't remember doing it. Miranda said, "You are not a thief. Don't jump to conclusions."

Later Miranda asked Fernanda if kleptomaniacs forget stealing things, and Fernanda said no. She said she would research it further for Miranda.

Florencia overheard Fabricio telling Fernanda that he's upset because Florencia is going to die. Florencia became hysterical and prayed, "I don't want to die! Why me, why my baby?"

She remembered Pamela saying she would pay for stealing Fabricio from Miranda, and said to herself, "Pamela was right. God is punishing me. And it's Miranda's fault!"

Later she accused Fabricio, again, of not loving her and only marrying her out of pity. She ordered him to stop helping Miranda with the family's financial problems, saying, "If she has problems, let her handle them by herself. We are married!"

Gonzalo told his fellow prisoner, the Tycoon, "Fernanda belongs to me, only me."

Francisco shouted at Raul because Daira invited them to have dinner with her and Lisania. He ordered Raul to "stay away from girls of that class." Raul told his father to treat him like a man. Amparo tried to defend Raul, and Francisco started shouting at her, saying he is the only one who will decide what's best for his sons.

Amparo got upset and reminded him that she is the one who has cooked and cleaned and taken care of the boys all these years, that's why she never got married. Francisco said it's not his fault she didn't marry, and she said, "You think all you have to do is give me a little money," that men don't know how much work goes into raising children and he will never understand.

Pamela's mother, Andrea, had a flashback of some kind, telling Pamela that she remembered "men destroyed the house," but she didn't know that they were looking for, and she had to run away. This had something to do with Pamela's father and a killing. (Probably related to the shooting of Alejandro's father.)

A man told Carola that Sanson is planning to set up Raul somehow during a bank robbery (I think).

Julio's sons, Daniel and Angel, offered Juan as much money as he makes in a year if he would sign a paper saying that Julio is incapacitated. Juan angrily refused and made it clear that he will protect their father from them.

When Alejandro brought a mariachi band to serenade Miranda, Bertha of course interrupted by kissing Alejandro. He asked, "Why did you do that?" and she said, "Serenades make me emotional."

He asked her again for the portfolio of his father's designs, saying he wants them for sentimental reasons, not financial reasons. Bertha claimed that she doesn't have them but she knows who does, then invited him in for a drink.

Florencia broke down and asked Fabricio why he loves her, not Miranda, when Miranda is so strong and beautiful and popular, while Florencia is none of these things (she thinks). Fabricio said, "Miranda doesn't need me to protect her. That is why I love you."

Julio told Rebeca that Cesar, not Gonzalo, commited the business fraud and he intends to turn Cesar in. Rebeca begged him not to betray her son.

Alejandro asked Bertha if she loved his father, and she said, "Your concept of love and mine are probably very different." He asked what her concept is, and she said she believes love has to involve "wounds and pain." Fernanda came into the room and I think she told Alejandro that talking to Bertha about love was like talking to a hyena.

Heridas de Amor - Episode 30

After seeing Fabricio with Miranda, Florencia said to herself, "Fabricio doesn't love me!" She then yelled at Fernanda to leave her alone, and Fernanda told Tomasa, "She hates me!"

Bertha asked Florencia, "Why are you so angry? I told you we'll get rid of the doctor little by little. Learn to enjoy other people's pain."

The men who work on the hacienda were angry at Miranda because they're not being paid. Miranda told them they're all free to leave. Fabricio told her he has money and can pay the men, but Miranda said no.

Fabricio said, "You are not alone. Now more than ever I am with you. I'm not going to leave you alone, I swear." Miranda replied, "I am alone in all this. It's not good for Florencia to see us together." Fabricio said, "I only want to help you."

Miranda said he's not showing enough enthusiasm about Florencia's pregnancy, and Fab. said no one understands his feelings about becoming a father and losing the woman he loves at the same time.

Tomasa told Fernanda that Bertha took her granddaughter away and never lets Tomasa see her, "It's killing me little by little." Fernanda said she will help Tomasa look for her granddaughter.

Tomasa said Bertha wants the gun Nati took away, and Fernanda said, "Don't worry. Nati is with me. She told me she has the gun." (However, later Joel forgot to lock the door of the nursing home and Nati escaped, heading toward her home village in Tabasco.) Renata eavesdropped on this conversation and later told Bertha that she thinks Tomasa and Nati killed someone.

Alejandro talked with is friend Luciano, saying he "won't move a finger to help Gonzalo" and "I never imagined Florencia was my sister. I am very confused, Luciano."

Bertha asked Cesar, "What will you give me for my silence?" (because she knows he stole from Gonzalo's business). Cesar said, "I won't give you anything until you tell me who was the man Gonzalo killed." Bertha claimed she doesn't remember his name, and Cesar said he wonders if Fernanda remembers.

Lisania told Daira and Alejandro that Raul's father doesn't approve of her because she's rich. Daira said she will invite Raul for dinner. When Daira called, Raul wasn't home and she had to speak to his father. Francisco told her that Raul and Lisania are from different classes and Lisania should look for a boy from her own class, but Daira convinced him to bring Raul to her house for dinner.

Florencia confronted Miranda about her hug with Fabricio, saying, "I will never forgive you! It's your fault I'm not happy!" Then she fainted.

After this Fabricio told Fernanda he knows who she is, and Fabricio demanded, "Why are you doing this to my daughters? You're making fools of them both!" Fabricio denied it and said he loves Florencia.

Fernanda asked him if he gave Florencia her pills that day and he said yes. I think Fernanda said she suspects Bertha of tampering with the pills and that she's going to prove it.

At the end of the episode a flirtatious woman named Britania approached Alejandro in the bar and said she had met him previously at a construction conference. Alejandro said, "Yes, now I remember you."

Heridas de Amor - Episode 29

Nuria and Luis Alberto (Cesar's accomplices) told Miranda they will stay at the company even if she can't afford to pay them.

Miranda and Alejandro picked Fernanda up to take her to the country house in Tabasco. Ramon (the detective) saw this and reported to Cesar that Alejandro knows Fernanda. Cesar said, "Probably the man who protects Fernanda is Alejandro Luque."

Amparo apparently told the priest that she feels guilty about having a boyfriend (because she thinks she should devote herself to her brother's family). The priest asked if Roman has proposed to her, and Amparo said no, they haven't even gone out yet. The priest told her it was too soon to start worrying, then.

Juan told Raul that Amparo has a boyfriend, and Raul said, "Mama Amparito already has a family and doesn't need another."

Daira apparently teaches, or wants to teach, classes in feng shui, but the two rich women she talked to about it didn't seem very interested.

Daira took Lisania to meet Raul's family. Raul's father, Francisco, wasn't happy to have them there because they're rich. He said, "I am not rich, but I am not stupid." He told Daira he would prohibit Raul to see Lisania, and Daira asked him not to do that.

Francisco eventually threw them out of the house but I didn't understand why. Possibly Daira mentioned Raul's gang membership, because Francisco was upset about something, and Juan told Raul angrily, "If you're going to work, I'll wait for you at the hospital."

Bertha greeted Alejandro by kissing him. Alejandro told Miranda he only let Bertha kiss him because she has something he wants. Miranda said fine, then she'll kiss Fabricio on the lips, and Alejandro said it isn't the same. They had a fight about it.

Meanwhile Bertha told Fernanda, "Your stupid daughter isn't going to make me give up Alejandro."

Bertha went for a walk with Alejandro and he asked if she has his father's jewelry designs. She said, "How much are you willing to pay?" and he said, "What is the price?" Bertha kissed him and, of course, Miranda saw it.

Alejandro told Bertha, "Things are not this way," and walked away, but Miranda didn't see that. Miranda said to herself, "I have no doubt. All men know how to cause pain."

Cesar met with Julio's sons and told them Gonzalo will serve five to eight years in jail unless they drop the charges against him. They asked if their father is really on the verge of death, and I think Cesar convinced them that Julio didn't really have a heart attack, that Miranda is just saying that to save Gonzalo.

Renata and Florencia agreed that they will be nice to Fernanda when Miranda is around but treat her like rubbish when Miranda isn't there. (This is at Bertha's instigation, of course.)

Renata nastily asked Fernanda if she's married, and Renata said yes, and she has three children. Renata ran to tell Bertha this because she thinks it means Fernanda can't marry Gonzalo. Bertha hugged her and said, "Don't you wish I were your mother?"

Florencia nastily told Fernanda she feels fine and refused to take the heart medication Fernanda brought her.

Fabricio told Miranda that he has money and will help her, saying, "You are not alone." Florencia, of course, saw this and assumed the worst.

Heridas de Amor - Episode 28

Pamela's mother, Andrea, told Pamela that Pamela's father went away one day and never came back.

"The Tycoon" talked to Gonzalo some more. I didn't understand most of it, but I think the Tycoon said his wife and daughter were murdered by his enemies. He also said something about criminal charges being political, and told Gonzalo, "You are not going to leave here as quickly as you think."

Lisania told Raul not to be nervous about meeting her mother and brother. Raul said, "Look where you live! There's a difference in classes. Better that we leave things as they are." He asked what her mother would say if she knew Lisania had met him when he stole her purse, and Daira overheard this.

Lisania told Daira that Raul didn't really steal her purse, "It is a joke, what do you think?" but Raul immediately admitted to Daira, "It's true. I won't bother your daughter again." Daira told him, "Wait. We have to talk."

Later Alejandro ranted that Lisania can't go out with Raul, "It doesn't matter why he did it, he's a thief." Daira told a story about her own family - I think she said her own father stole in order to feed his poor family. Alejandro was surprised by this but his opinion of Raul didn't change. He and Daira ordered Lisania to return to Italy (to get her away from Raul), and Lisania said she would obey.

Cesar made a phone call to try to track down the missing shares of Gonzalo's company. He spoke to the owner on the phone but the man wouldn't give him any information.

Miranda tried to reach Julio's sons to tell them Julio wants to talk to them, but they didn't return her messages. Miranda and Alejandro told Fernanda they are in love. Fernanda congratulated them, then said to herself, "I am ready, Miranda. You will be the first to know I am your mother."

Fabricio yelled at Bertha about her hatred of Miranda. Bertha's dog attacked him. Later Fabricio said it was his own fault because Bertha was crying and the dog was trained to defend her. Bertha told Renata and Florencia she was crying because she loves Florencia so much. Renata and Florencia sympathized.

Cesar asked his mother for the name of the man Gonzalo killed. Rebeca said, "I don't know. Only Fernanda knows."

Miranda vowed to herself that she will stand by her father forever. She tried to have a meeting with the company's board, but Nuria interrupted to tell them that the owner of the reserved shares wanted the meeting stopped immediately because he wasn't there to attend.

Amparo told Juan that Roman (the detective investigating Fernanda) asked her out. Francisco (Amparo's brother) told her not to go. Juan said to Francisco angrily, "What are you doing? Mama Amparito is not a girl. She has a right to go out. Don't you think she has a right to form her own family?"

Tomasa had a flashback about the night Alejandro's father was shot. She remembered overhearing Gonzalo saying, "I have to call the police and report my crime," and Bertha talking him out of it. Tomasa found the gun and gave it to a woman named Nati to hide.

In the present day, Bertha told Tomasa that she can't see her granddaughter yet. Tomasa was upset and said she'll die if she doesn't see her. Bertha demanded, "Where is Nati?" (apparently because Bertha wants to know what happened to the gun) and Tomasa said, "I don't know where she went!" Bertha said, "Yes, the same for your granddaughter." Tomasa said, "I am dying and it is your fault!"

Heridas de Amor - Episode 27

Bertha told Renata that Fernanda is coming to visit because she's Florencia's cardiologist. She said Fernanda is "like a malign tumor that we have to remove surgically." Renata said, "We are going to finish her off."

Fernanda visited Gonzalo in prison. He asked if she has talked to Cesar and she said yes, "I only told him the truth." Gonzalo said, "Thanks to your sincerity, I am in Cesar's hands!" (Apparently he thinks Fernanda told Cesar that Gonzalo killed Alfredo, although I don't recall that.)

Later Fernanda, very upset, told Amparo and Francisco that she went to see Gonzalo because "I thought he'd be different, more human, more vulnerable," but instead he was "more arrogant."

Roman (the detective hired by Gonzalo and Cesar) showed up to visit Amparo. Amparo seems to think he's romantically interested in her, but unfortunately Roman is just using Amparo to get information about Fernanda.

Alejandro told Miranda aggressively that he doesn't want Cesar near her. Miranda said, "Why are you speaking to me in this manner?" Alejandro apologized and said, "Cesar is responsible for the fraud that sent your father to prison." Miranda said that can't be true because she authorized all Cesar's transactions and the auditors didn't find anything wrong. She said, "If you don't trust him, I do."

Miranda then complained to Pamela about Alejandro's attitude, saying, "I was a fool to think he loved me." Pamela told her that relationships are never perfect and "the worst enemy of love is pride."

Alejandro came into the room. Pamela saw him but Miranda didn't, so Pamela asked Miranda, "Do you or do you not love Alejandro?" Miranda admitted that she does love him, and he overheard. Miranda and Alejandro then made up.

Before they left the hospital, Pamela introduced them to her mother, Andrea, who seems to be recovering from her attack of mental illness.

Gonzalo's lawyer, Vicente, told Cesar that he knows Cesar committed the fraud. "We are investigating, and we already have proof." Someone telephoned Cesar and gave him the name ("Investment Marketing Business") of the company Alejandro used to buy shares in Gonzalo's business.

Bertha told Florencia that Renata stole her necklace. Florencia didn't believe Renata was a kleptomaniac. Later Florencia asked Fabricio to stay away from Miranda. Fabricio cried because he thinks Florencia and the baby will die and it's his fault.

The director of the hospital, Benjamin Cohen, told Juan to stop taking care of Julio and get back to work. Juan said, "This patient is a human, not a thing." Benjamin then patted Juan on the back and said something about Fernanda being right to hire him.

Julio woke up agitated and told Juan he has to talk to his sons right away. Juan told Julio that he had a heart attack and he needs to remain calm.

Sanson, the gang leader, threatened Raul (Juan's brother) -- I'm not sure why but maybe Raul is trying to leave the gang. Carola (who is apparently a prostitute?) interceded to protect Raul. Sanson told her, "Don't forget it is Juan's fault my brother is dead," and said if Raul doesn't do what Sanson wants, "Juan will die."

Heridas de Amor - Episode 26

Fabricio told Bertha he knows she deliberately split him and Miranda because she hates Miranda, and not to treat him like a child because he's the man of the house. As usual, Bertha just snickered.

Bertha called Cesar and urged him to make Miranda fall in love with him. Cesar asked for "a repeat of the other night" (when Bertha spent the night with him), and Bertha said, "First you win Miranda over, then we'll have a repeat of the other night."

When Alejandro brought Miranda home from their date, the maid, Charo (I think that's her name) told Miranda that Bertha accused her of being a thief and threw her out of the house.

Cesar showed up and insisted on speaking to Miranda alone. After Alejandro left, Miranda told Cesar that Al. proposed to her. Cesar said, "Are you crazy? Never would I think you could forget Fabricio, my brother, my blood!" Then he told Miranda he loves her, saying, "Please, open your eyes, accept being with me. Give me a chance."

Miranda said no, she respects him but nothing more, and Cesar asked if that was her last word. Miranda said, "Si."

Fernanda told Rebeca that she's going to Tabasco to see her daughters. Rebeca said, "You are going to kill Florencia" (from the surprise of finding out Fernanda is her mother), and Fernanda said, "My daughter is not going to die. If necessary, I will give my heart so she can live!"

Rebeca begged Fernanda to cancel her trip and remain at the hospital to take care of Julio, saying Fernanda is "abandoning her patient." Fernanda replied that Julio will be in good hands with another doctor, that she is worried about Florencia and must see her, and Rebeca retorted, "Don't be a hypocrite. You didn't see your daughters for years." They had an argument about this but Fernanda refused to change her mind.

Juan told his father and aunt that Raul's new girlfriend is very rich. They looked worried. Later Alejandro told Lisania she should break up with Raul because he's poor.

Gonzalo told Alejandro that Cesar wants to marry Miranda. He said, "Cesar wants to extort me. He knows that I killed a man." Alejandro asked why he commited murder, and Gonzalo said, "I killed him because he was a wretch! He was a miserable dog! I am a man of honor, Alejandro."

Alejandro said, "Sooner or later you are going to pay for this murder. Who was this man?" (Of course, Alejandro knows it was his own father.)

Gonzalo replied, "I don't know his name. It was not a crime. It was justice. The body was in the river, and no one has ever found it." Alejandro said, "The dead always return for revenge," and Gonzalo replied that right now he wants to take care of the living. He thanked Alejandro for "paying for my security" (in the prison, I suppose).

Alejandro went home and ranted to Daira, "I am going to kill Gonzalo San Llorente with my own hands!" because his father spent years in pain due to Gonzalo's murder attempt. Daira tried to talk him out of seeking revenge, asking, "Are you prepared to lose Miranda?" Alejandro angrily said he'll do anything for revenge.

One of Cesar's co-workers (I don't know his name) mentioned to Nuria that he's getting divorced after less than a year of marriage. Nuria blurted that she's engaged to Cesar, adding, "I am expecting Cesar's child!" The man was surprised.

Heridas de Amor - Episode 25

A prisoner introduced himself to Gonzalo as El Magnate ("the Tycoon"). He warned Gonzalo that "they" intend to kill him, but I don't think he said who they are.

Gonzalo's lawyer warned him that an architect named Osvaldo wants to kill him. He said, "You are at the mercy of this man." Gonzalo didn't seem surprised by this news. I didn't understand the rest of the conversation so I don't know why the architect wants to kill Gonzalo.

Cesar visited Gonzalo and threatened him, saying he knows Gonzalo killed someone and therefore Gonzalo should negotiate with him. He said, "Convince Miranda to marry me." Gonzalo said, "You are crazy!" Cesar also said something about giving Florencia a shock that will kill her.

Later Gonzalo said to himself, "I am going to kill Cesar with my own hands. How can I protect my daughters? Alejandro is the only one I can trust."

Bertha claimed that her pearl necklace had been stolen, crying, "I will die if I don't find it! It was my mother's favorite!" After it turned up in Renata's room (where Bertha hid it), Bertha said, "Renata, how could you?"

Renata said, "I swear I don't know what happened!" and Bertha promised not to tell anyone "that you are sick." Renata asked what she meant, and Bertha said, "Possibly you have kleptomania."

Lisania invited herself to dinner at Raul's house, saying she wants to meet his parents. He told her, "Thank you for being like this, without prejudice."

Lisania then went home and told her mother she's in love. Daira was happy until she realized it was a poor boy, then she said, "Oh, Lisania, not again." Lisania said, "Raul is very noble and handsome." Daira told her she shouldn't go out with a poor person, but Lisania said, "Raul is different."

Fabricio asked Alejandro why he's so interested in Florencia, and Alejandro revealed that Florencia is his half sister. Fab. later called his mother and shared this news.

Alejandro went to see a jeweler named Roberto and showed him the necklace he got from Bertha, asking if Roberto made it. Roberto said, "Yes, from one of your father's designs," and explained that he got the design from Bertha.

That night Alejandro gave Miranda a necklace, then said, "I want you to spend all the nights with me," and gave her a diamond ring designed by his father. He said, "Will you marry me?"

Miranda said, "Yes, I accept. But not now. It's not the moment. Don't take it the wrong way." Alejandro said, "How can I not take it wrong? This moment will never return." Miranda said she can't accept gifts from him, and Alejandro said, "It is not my gift - it is my desire, to be with you forever."

Miranda said, "Thank you for your words, your love, your proposal, but I can't. Give me time. It is the only thing I ask."

At dinner, Miranda told him that she's upset about her father and sisters' problems. Alejandro comforted her, and Miranda said, "I can never thank you for all you've done." Alejandro said he doesn't want her thanks but her love.

He told her, "For the first time I am in love." Miranda replied, "I don't believe it. You, a man of the world, rich, handsome, without any story of love to tell?" Then she said, "It makes me afraid."

Alejandro asked, "To love, or to be loved?" and Miranda said, "Both. For me right now, love is synonymous with sadness." Alejandro said, "They say love is like madness. I am crazy in love with you!"

Heridas de Amor - Episode 24

Lisania called Raul. She asked who had answered the phone, and he said, "My neighbor. I don't have a phone at home."

Later they met and Raul asked Lisania why she, a rich girl, was spending time with him after he stole her purse in the restaurant. She said, "My mother says eyes are the windows to the soul" and something about liking his eyes.

Over the phone Bertha ordered Veronica (the drug dealer) to tell the whole world that Renata was caught shoplifting. I think Bertha probably paid Veronica to frame Renata, because she asked Veronica, "Renata doesn't suspect anything, right?"

Bertha then encountered Tomasa in the hallway and told her she would be seeing her granddaughter soon. Tomasa said Miranda had gone out with Alejandro, that he's a handsome man and a good match for Miranda etc. This angered Bertha, who said, "Forget about seeing your granddaughter!" (I am still guessing that the granddaughter is Nuria.)

Bertha then went to Renata's room and lectured her for supposedly shoplifting, saying, "A thief in the house! One more sorrow!" Renata remembered unfairly calling Juan a thief and apparently felt guilty now that she's also been falsely accused.

Next Bertha caught Miranda kissing Alejandro and told her, "Alejandro is for me, Miranda."

Miranda retorted, "A shame he doesn't think the same. You separated me from Fabricio because my sister is sick. If you think you are going to separate me from Alejandro, you are completely crazy. You separated my mother from the man she loved. Why is this man dead? Did you kill him?"

After Bertha left, Miranda closed the door and said something like, "I did it!" (I guess she was happy because she stood up to Bertha?) In the hallway, Bertha said to herself something like, "I hate her! She is going to pay dearly!"

Alejandro went home and told Daira that he's in love with Miranda, saying, "I can't handle my emotions. I've never felt like this about a woman. And at my age! I feel like an adolescent! I've always been in control of my actions, the situation." Daira congratulated him.

The next day Alejandro went to Fernanda and told her, "I came to tell you I'm in love." She asked who the woman was, and he said, "Your daughter, Miranda."

Miranda told Pamela that Alejandro only kissed Bertha because Bertha has something he wants. Pamela said, "It must be something very important for him to kiss Bertha."

Fernanda told Pamela that her mentally ill mother can't come home from the hospital, and Pamela was upset.

Miranda became emotional about something and Fernanda comforted her, saying, "If necessary I would give my life for you." Miranda didn't seem to think that was an odd thing to say.

In jail, Gonzalo said to himself, "This can't be happening to me. What will happen to my daughters? How is Florencia? I have to get out of here."

Cesar told Roman (the detective) to investigate "my secretary, Nuria Gomez," and also to find out who Fernanda's protector is.

Bertha told Renata that all her friends know she's a kleptomaniac. Renata got upset and pointed out that Miranda came and helped her when she was accused of shoplifting while Bertha did nothing.

Bertha apologized, saying, "How can I be angry at you? You are my love." Then she hid a necklace in Renata's room, saying something to herself about Miranda being too busy with Alejandro to rescue Renata this time.

Bertha visited the priest (whom she calls Santiago) and asked if he knows Miranda. He said yes, then recognized Bertha and said, "What are you doing here!" She said something about being his friend and he replied, "You are not a friend. You are a demon personified!" He then accused her of killing his sister Sofia (Alejandro's mother) years ago, saying, "Murderer!"

Bertha said, "She had cancer. That was what killed her, not me." Santiago asked who tampered with his sister's pills. Bertha said she knows who did it, and he said, "For the salvation of your soul, tell me who it is!" Bertha did not reply but behaved flirtatiously before she left.

The priest prayed, saying something like, "Lord, this is the proof of my faith."

At the end of the episode, a prisoner approached Gonzalo and introduced himself as Magnate (or something like that). He told Gonzalo not to use his real name but to call himself Duque (Duke). At the end Magnate said something I didn't catch about someone killing someone -- possibly someone wanting to kill Gonzalo.

Heridas de Amor - Episode 23

Renata was framed for shoplifting by her drug-dealer "friend." She swore to Miranda that she didn't do it, and Miranda believed her and paid for the items so Renata wouldn't be arrested.

Bertha brought Florencia to Fernanda for a check-up and they were both rude to Fernanda, apparently because Bertha has told Florencia not to trust Fernanda, and Florencia does whatever Bertha says.

Florencia told Bertha that Miranda is jealous of Bertha's relationship with Alejandro, and Bertha claimed she isn't interested in Alejandro.

Gonzalo confronted Cesar about framing him for fraud, saying, "I'm going to kill you, simpleton. You and Julio planned all of this." Cesar sneered, "You know nothing."

Gonzalo ordered Cesar not to return to the business, and Cesar said, "No one is going to tell me not to go anywhere!" Gonzalo was then taken away to prison.

Daira asked Alejandro to help Gonzalo, but he said the case is very complicated and he can't do anything. He said he's still suspicious of Fernanda, saying he doesn't know whether to believe her story about the past or Bertha's. Daira encouraged him to believe in Fernanda, saying, "Trust your heart. Bertha is like a demon."

Fernanda told Miranda that Florencia's baby is fine but Florencia probably won't survive the pregnancy.

Miranda told Fernanda that she hates her mother for abandoning her daughters and causing them so many problems (not knowing Fernanda is her mother).

Miranda called Julio's sons, Daniel and Angel, and told them Julio is dying in the hospital. Again they shrugged this off, saying Miranda is hysterical and angry at them because they accused her father of fraud.

Fabricio apologized to Florencia and told her he loves her. Miranda overheard this conversation and seemed to finally realize that Fabricio and Florencia really are in love. She asked if Florencia had taken her medicine yet, and Florencia smiled and said, "Miranda always takes care of me like a mother and treats me as if I'm made of crystal."

Miranda went to her room and prayed that Florencia won't die, then said to herself, "Where is my family?" and impulsively called Alejandro.

Alejandro asked why she was crying. Miranda said she didn't know and apologized for bothering him. He invited her out. After hanging up, Miranda said to herself, "Why did I call Alejandro? Why am I so nervous?"

At the restaurant, Miranda asked Alejandro to tell her what's going on with her father's case. He told her Gonzalo was taken to prison, but assured her, "You're not alone, Miranda." Miranda said, "I want to fight and I can't," and Alejandro encouraged her.

Miranda asked, "Why did you kiss Bertha? If I were a man, she would be the last woman I'd be interested in." Alejandro explained, "Bertha has something of mine, and I want to get it back."

Heridas de Amor - Episode 22

Gonzalo somehow found out that Cesar is the one responsible for taking money from his business. He told his lawyer to investigate but not say one word to Cesar.

Miranda asked Alejandro jealously if he's interested in Florencia, and he replied, "Florencia interests me more than you can imagine." Miranda asked him how he could fall in love with his best friend's wife, and Alejandro pointed out that Miranda is in love with her sister's husband.

Florencia told Alejandro that Fabricio doesn't love her because he doesn't want their child to be born. Fabricio denied this, saying, "I love you. You are the most important thing to me."

Alejandro lectured Fab. about how to treat Florencia, and Fab. said, "You think it's easy? The woman I love is going to die, and there's nothing I can do." He asked why Alejandro is so interested in Florencia, and Alejandro said, "Because I want her to be happy," and told Fab. to take Florencia back to Dr. Fernandez for treatment right away.

Renata complained that Miranda is giving money to the church even though the family is poor now, and Miranda retorted, "I donated my own money, and I don't care what you think about it." Renata called their father a delinquent, and Miranda slapped her.

Miranda later told Tomasa that she wants to "save her family," then apologized to Renata, who retorted that she wants to forget Miranda is her sister.

Gonzalo told Rebeca, "It's Cesar's fault I'm here" (in jail). "It was he who committed the fraud." He asked her to trick Cesar into confessing, but she said, "I can't lay a trap for Cesar. He is my son." Gonzalo said, "Leave, then. There is nothing more for us to talk about" and said he will never meet with her again. He said, "Cesar is going to pay, I swear, he is going to pay very dearly," and that he is also going to get revenge on Fabricio because "both your sons committed mortal sins."

Roman (the man Gonzalo hired to find Fernanda) told Cesar where Fernanda lives. Cesar told him to research everything Fernanda does, where she goes, etc. Cesar thought to himself that he wants to learn the identity of the man Gonzalo killed.

Fabricio confronted Cesar because Cesar threw their mother out of the house.

Miranda told Cesar that because the family's funds have been frozen, Alejandro Luque is going to let them use his private plane.

Fernanda told Tomasa that Gonzalo's house is her house, too (maybe she is planning to return home now that Gonzalo is in jail).

Fabricio asked Rebeca who Gonzalo killed. I don't think Rebeca answered, but she warned Fabricio, "Gonzalo wants to finish you both off" (ie him and Cesar). Cesar said after Florencia dies he will go far away to escape from Gonzalo, leaving his child behind for Miranda to raise. Rebeca tried to talk him out of it.

Heridas de Amor - Episode 21

Alejandro accused Fernanda of falling out of love with his father (Alfredo) too easily, saying, "For you love is a passing whim." Fernanda told him that wasn't true, that Gonzalo is the love of her life. Alejandro asked, "How can you say that, after all you've suffered due to him?"

After learning father was arrested, Renata complained, "Not only are we ruined, we have a delinquent for a father!" Florencia fainted at the news.

Bertha, Renata, and Miranda began squabbling. Miranda said, "If my father doesn't come back, the only person who makes decisions here is me." Bertha said, "You're wrong. It's me." Miranda told Bertha to leave the house, but Renata and Bertha said Miranda is the one who should leave.

Fabricio interceded and told them all to calm down, and Miranda said he was right and apologized. Bertha reluctantly agreed that they should stop squabbling.

Nuria told Cesar that Bertha knows she's pregnant. Cesar flipped out because he told Nuria not to tell anyone. Nuria said she only told Bertha because Bertha is her godmother, and it's thanks to Bertha that she got the secretarial job in Gonzalo's office. I didn't catch all of this conversation, but apparently Nuria doesn't know who her parents are(?)

Cesar wondered why Bertha is so interested in Nuria. He told her, "We're going to find out who your parents are," and warned her that Bertha is a "bad, perverse woman."

Daria gave Bertha's necklace to Alejandro, saying Bertha delivered it "in a hostile way."

Florencia told Miranda that Fabricio doesn't love her because he told her not to have the baby. Miranda said Fab. is only thinking of Florencia's health, but Florencia doesn't believe it. She said, "I'm a little delicate, but a baby's not going to kill me." She told Miranda, "Promise me you won't talk to Fabricio unless it's necessary. For my peace of mind." Miranda said, "I swear." Florencia thanked her and hugged her.

Then Florencia went to Bertha and said, "I did everything you told me to, aunt." Bertha said, "You did what any woman would in your place, defended your man." Florencia sharply told Bertha to get rid of the dog because she (Florencia) is allergic to it. Bertha just petted the dog and said, "Miranda doesn't know what is waiting."

Raul (the gang member) called Lisania and asked her out for coffee, and she agreed.

Joel (one of Raul's brothers) asked Amparo (their aunt) why she never married. She said their mother died young and their father was working all day, so she had to raise his children, and they're the children she couldn't have. Overhearing this, Raul told her, "You're the best. Forgive me," and hugged her. Amparo asked why she should forgive him, but Raul didn't answer.

Bertha called Alejandro and asked him to go with her to see Gonzalo tomorrow (in jail). Alejandro agreed.

Miranda said to herself, "I'm alone. I can't count on anyone. I am fragile, you are right, Alejandro. Help me. All this is too much for me. Tomorrow I'm going to talk to you. My father trusts you. Help me to trust you, too, please."

Julio's son Angel called Rebeca, who told them Julio is in intensive care and asked why they are accusing Gonzalo of fraud. Angel hung up and asked his brother, Daniel, if he thinks Julio is really going to die. Daniel said, "What did our mother always say?" and Angel replied, "If a problem has a solution, worry. If it doesn't, don't worry." With that they both seemed to shrug off their father's illness.

Alejandro dreamt that Miranda was telling him she loves him. He said to her (in the dream), "I never had a love like this. I am going crazy. I love you." Then he woke up and said out loud, "You are not going to play with me."

Heridas de Amor - Episode 20

When Rebeca refused to tell Cesar who Fernanda is, Cesar told her (his mother) to get out of his house.

Bertha told Daira that she (Daira) couldn't really have been married Alfredo because he's been dead for many years. Daira asked, "Why didn't you tell Alejandro that you were also in love with his father?" She also told Bertha, "Fernanda was his great love. Not you."

Cesar told Miranda that Julio defrauded the company's clients and that's why Gonzalo was arrested. Miranda confronted Julio, saying, "This is not the first time you have betrayed my father's trust!" Julio promptly had a heart attack.

In jail, Gonzalo told Alejandro, "I am a blameless man." Alejandro said, "Then you don't have anything to worry about," and Gonzalo thanked him.

A nun told Renata that Miranda is one of the church's best benefactors. Renata smirked and said she didn't know that because Miranda is so modest.

Raul apologized to Lisania for stealing her purse, saying, "I wish we'd met under different circumstances." He asked if she's going to turn him in, and she said she doesn't know. He asked her not to tell the priest because he doesn't want his family to suffer for what he did.

The gang boss asked Raul, "Where do the old folks who sell tacos live?" (implying that he wants to rob them.) Raul said, "I don't know." (Of course, he does know because it's his family.) After threatening him a bit, the gang leader said they're going to rob a bank.

Cesar visited Fernanda and revealed that he recognizes her, saying, "I never forget a face." She asked him not to tell her daughters who she is.

Alejandro comforted Miranda about Gonzalo's arrest, saying he would help her. Miranda said, "I'm not as fragile or useless as you must think." She added, "I'm not alone. I have Fabricio. He will take care of everything." Alejandro reminded her, "He's your brother-in-law!"

Miranda asked Rebeca who Julio sold the company's reserved stock to. Rebeca remembered that the company is called (in English) "Investment Marketing Business." (Hilarious name for a company!!!)

Miranda said, "I have to find out who has these shares and recover them." Alejandro looked worried because he doesn't want Miranda to find out that he owns "Investment Marketing Business."

Fernanda told Rebeca that Julio is in a delicate state after his heart attack and "will suffer consequences of lack of oxygen to the brain."

Gonzalo called Miranda from jail and told her, "Don't come here. Leave everything in the lawyers' hands. At this moment, the only person you can trust is Alejandro Luque." Meanwhile, Alejandro confessed to Miranda that he's the one who secretly bought the missing shares of Gonzalo's company.

Heridas de Amor - Episode 19

Pamela was upset because her mother might spend the rest of her life in the hospital (due to mental illness).

Alejandro told Bertha she is beautiful, intelligent, entertaining, and passionate. Bertha told him that his mother, Sofia, and Fernanda (Bertha's sister) were school friends when they both fell in love with Alfredo.

I think she said Fernanda took Alfredo away from Sofia. She said "Gonzalo and Alfredo always fell for Fernanda's tears" and "Fernanda was responsible for the tragedy" (ie Gonzalo shooting Alfredo).

Bertha mentioned that Daira introduced herself at Florencia's wedding as Alejandro's wife, but "it can't be true. I saw that he was dead." (ie after Gonzalo shot him.)

Alejandro, now suspicious of Fernanda, went home and repeated all this to Daira, saying, "Can you think how my mother felt when my father fell in love with her friend?"

Daira told him not to believe a woman like Bertha, adding, "Forget revenge. Get Miranda's attention. You two can be happy." Alejandro said if he takes up with Miranda, it will be to get revenge on her father, but Daira said to herself, "No, Alejandro. Your destiny is to love."

Gonzalo told Fernanda that he always loved her. "This was my idea of happiness: you, me, and our daughters." Fernanda got upset and left.

Miranda told Bertha to get rid of the dog because Florencia is allergic to animals. Bertha amused herself by siccing the dog on Miranda.

Juan told his family that he's upset because Renata accused him of being a thief. His brother Joel said, "Surely this rich girl has the body of an angel and the soul of a demon," and Juan laughed. They both yelled at their brother Raul for joining the gang and stealing.

Lisana (Alejandro's sister) remembered Raul stealing her purse and thought, "What pretty eyes" he had.

Fernanda asked Juan to work with her in the asylum, and Juan agreed.

Cesar told Julio's sons, Daniel and Angel, that he will get information for them so they can charge Gonzalo with fraud. Angel said, "You're right. We'll put Gonzalo in his place."

Gonzalo told Miranda that he heard what happened with Bertha and the dog, and Miranda replied, "Having this animal in the house is dangerous. I refer to the dog." Gonzalo laughed.

Gonzalo wondered why all this was happening, "Florencia's illness, Fabricio breaking up with you, now the crisis in the business." Miranda said, "Maybe we've done things wrong in the past and are paying now." Gonzalo replied, "Me, yes. I've done many things wrong. Today I pay the consequences."

He asked if Miranda is interested in Alejandro, and she said, "If my life is not at Fabricio's side, it's with no one," and Alejandro's kiss "meant nothing to me. A man like Alejandro can't help me at all." She asked, "Tell me, is the crisis in the business critical?" Gonzalo assured her, "In a few days, everything will be normal."

Alejandro called an assistant and ordered that all his money be moved to the Bahamas. He then asked for information about the biggest, most expensive house in Tabasco (probably Gonzalo's house?) After hanging up, he said to himself, "I can't love you, Miranda. It will ruin all my plans. I can't stop."

Renata and Lisania came to the church to visit Lisania's uncle, the priest, and saw Juan and his family selling tacos outside. Renata sneered at Juan, "Look who's here, the accomplice of the thieves."

Cesar caught his mother having a romantic moment with Julio and called them old and ridiculous. After Julio left, Cesar remembered Fernanda's real identity, saying to his mother, "Dr. Fernandez is my godmother, Fernanda, right?"

Miranda visited the office. Gonzalo, worried about the business, told her to leave, but Miranda said, "I am not moving from your side." Alejandro arrived and told them Gonzalo is being charged with committing fraud for millions. Then some men came in and apparently said Gonzalo is under arrest.

Saturday, August 05, 2006

Heridas de Amor - Episode 18

Cesar told Nuria, "I will never abandon you and the baby. Better dead than far from you." (Personally I think he is planning to kill her.)

Gonzalo accused Julio of being a thief because Julio sold some property belonging to the business. Julio said he did it because the business needed the money. Gonzalo demanded, "Who did you sell it to?" and Julio said he doesn't know exactly, just a company in New York.

Cesar, eavesdropping on this conversation, said to himself, "Gonzalo has an Achilles' heel." (talon de Aquiles)

Gonzalo told Miranda that Florencia and Fabricio are returning from their honeymoon tomorrow and that Florencia is pregnant. Miranda said that Florencia must abort the baby to save her life, and Gonzalo said, "Florencia can't know she's dying. Tell me, what would you do in Florencia's place?" Miranda replied, "Have my baby."

Cesar told Miranda, "Gonzalo is paying high interest to Alejandro." Miranda, still suspicious of Alejandro, said, "I need a copy of the contract," and Cesar apparently agreed to get it for her.

Miranda asked about the company's stock market losses, saying, "Who is responsible for this?" Cesar said, "I have only a suspicion. We are talking of fraud," and said he thinks Julio is to blame. Miranda said, "That's why he wasn't at Florencia's wedding." Cesar said something about the "package of deeds" (stock shares?) Julio sold, adding, "The worst is we don't know who he sold them to."

Bertha bought a guard dog named Lucas. The servants and Renata commented that it's a dangerous breed known to attack people. The dog's trainer told Bertha it will respond only to her voice.

Gonzalo asked Alejandro, "What are your intentions toward my daughter?" Alejandro said he is attracted to Miranda but knows she loves Fabricio. Gonzalo said, "I don't want her to suffer. This is an opportunity for her to forget Fabricio."

Alejandro said something about business and Gonzalo took offense, saying, "Don't be confused. I am not selling my daughter." Alejandro said, "Nor am I buying." Gonzalo apologized, "Excuse me. The situation with the business has me very worried. Miranda is very special to me."

Two young men came into the office and Miranda greeted them. They are Julio's sons. The one who hugged Miranda is named Daniel. They went to see Gonzalo and, I think(?) asked for the money they invested with him. Gonzalo tried to put them off and they got angry, saying, "We trusted San Lorente Investments!"

Gonzalo snarled, "No one talks to me in this tone!" and kicked them out of his office, telling them, "First learn to be men!" (I think he can't give them their money because of the stock market losses.)

In the hall, Cesar approached Julio's sons, saying, "I need to talk to you in private. If you want to recover your money."

Pamela visited her mother in the hospital. The mother mumbled that she hears voices. Pamela told Fernanda, "This is why my father left us." Fernanda said Pamela's mother can't go home yet because a specialist wants to do tests.

Juan returned Renata's wallet (stolen by his brother Raul), and Renata screeched for the servants to call the police, calling Juan a delinquent. Tomasa said, "This is an injustice. The young man only came to do a favor." Juan told her that he works for the hospital and told her to look at his ID card for proof.

Renata looked at the card and sneered, "Juan Jimenez Garcia. A very distinguished family," then made fun of his address. Juan said something like, "I am from a poor family, but we work hard." Renata was rude but let him leave without calling the police.

Alejandro told Bertha, "I need the necklace you wore to the wedding." Bertha said flirtatiously, "In exchange for what?" Alejandro replied, "Whatever you want," and Bertha kissed him. Miranda saw them together and told Pamela, "That man is a hypocrite!"

Gonzalo told Fernanda he wants a divorce. She tore up the divorce papers. He asked, "What do you want?" and she replied, "Everything I lost. My daughters, my good name, my friends, my dreams. Do you have enough to pay for that?" Gonzalo said he wants her out of his life, and Fernanda said, "Killl me and you'll have two lives on your conscience!"

Heridas de Amor - Episode 17

Rebeca told Gonzalo he's been like a father to her sons (Fabricio and Cesar).

Alejandro told Miranda, "I can make you forget Fabricio," then kissed her.

Gonzalo interrupted them and told Miranda, "You don't have to explain anything to me. You're both adults." Miranda said, "I am not interested in this man!" and asked Gonzalo not to do business with Alejandro anymore. Gonzalo told her to apologize to Alejandro.

After Alejandro left, Miranda asked Gonzalo to give her details of the crisis in his business, but he refused. She said, "You didn't want my help in the business. You just wanted me to forget Fabricio!"

In bed with Cesar, Bertha said, "You and I are associates, nothing more." Cesar said, "Good. I can only love Miranda."

The gang leader (I think his name is Sanson) told Juan that his brother, Raul, is being initated into the gang. Juan was angry about that. After Juan left, Sanson said, "I lost a brother because of Juan" so apparently he's going to take revenge through Raul.

Raul participated in a hold-up at a restaurant and stole Lisania and Renata's purses. One of the robbers said to Renata, "You come with me. I like you," but Raul interceded to protect Renata.

Juan later caught Raul looking through the girls' purses and yelled at him, saying they will return the property to the owners tomorrow.

Miranda called Cesar to complain that Gonzalo won't let her come to the office. After hanging up, Cesar said to himself, "Miranda, for us the future is glorious, I swear."

Alejandro complained to Fernanda that he can't stand Miranda's whims and rudeness. She reminded him that Miranda is young, and Alejandro said, "She is a demon!"

Alejandro's uncle, Aventura, is a priest who knows Fernanda's true identity. Alejandro and Fernanda asked the priest not to reveal Fernanda's identity to Miranda, but the priest said, "I won't be accomplice to such deceit."

Bertha gave some money to Renata's drug dealer, Veronica, and Veronica told her, "Renata thinks you are her mother." Bertha smirked at this.

Miranda visited Aventura and told him she still loves Fabricio. He said, "Fabricio is forbidden to you. Fabricio is part of your past." Miranda said she likes Fernanda and wants more information about her so she can help her.

The priest mentioned Miranda's mother, and Miranda said dismissively, "This woman is no one."

On her honeymoon in Miami, Florencia went to the doctor and was told she is pregnant. Fabricio said, "No, Florencia, this baby is not going to be born."

Florencia said, "I am going to have this baby with or without you! For me, the honeymoon is finished."

Fernanda asked Alejandro to give up his plans of revenge against Gonzalo, but Alejandro said, "Gonzalo caused my father's illness. He has to pay."

Fernanda asked if Alejandro is in love with Miranda, and Alejandro said, "No. I am a man, she is a loving girl," nothing more.

Bertha told Tomasa that Tomasa's daughter is pregnant, but I don't know who Tomasa's daughter is, unless it's Nuria (Gonzalo's secretary)?

Heridas de Amor - Episode 16

Renata told Miranda, "Open your eyes! Doctor Fernandez [ie Fernanda] is after our father." Renata thinks that because that's what Bertha told her.

Bertha told Gonzalo, "I am capable of anything for you and your daughters. Permit me to show my loyalty," then kissed him. After he rejected her, she said to herself, "I am going to destroy you and your daughters!"

Miranda told Bertha, "I know you and my mother were in love with the same man. Thanks to you, they separated. Who was the man?" Bertha said, "He is dead. Are you satisfied?" Miranda demanded to know his name, and Bertha said, "Look for him among the tombs, because that's the only way you'll find him, but watch out for ghosts."

Gonzalo told Tomasa, the servant, "You've known Fernanda her entire life. No one knows her as well as you do. Tell me, did she ever really love me?" Tomasa said, "Yes, with all her soul," and Gonzalo said, "Don't lie. Fernanda destroyed my life."

Juan went to visit his neighbor, Carola, and she warned him that his brother, Raul, doesn't want him to leave town and is trying to join "Sanson's gang." Juan was worried about Raul and I think he also commented, "Sanson hates me."

Gabino, the employee who secretly beat Miranda's horse on Bertha's orders, told Miranda he is sorry he couldn't save the horse's life. Miranda asked him if Bertha had anything to do with it. He didn't answer, and Miranda told him, "You don't have to say anything else."

Miranda told all the servants not to obey Bertha's orders. Bertha found out about it, then called the servants together and sweet talked them until one said, "If you want anything, just ask. You are the boss."

Cesar told Miranda that the stock market 's drop has financially ruined Gonzalo and that it's all Alejandro's fault. Miranda confronted Alejandro, saying, "You are a vulgar speculator who came to ruin my father!"

Tomasa and Pamela told Fernanda to tell Miranda the truth, that she is Miranda's mother.

Bertha told Renata that she's interested in Alejandro, and Renata revealed that she recently saw Alejandro kissing Miranda in the garden. Bertha of course was jealous.

Gonzalo ordered Rebeca to find out who Fernanda's protector is. Rebeca said, "Give me more time." Then she asked him, "Have you forgiven Fabricio?" (ie for betraying Miranda), and Gonzalo replied, "Do you think I'm capable of doing harm to Fabricio?"

Heridas de Amor - Episode 15

After Florencia begged Gonzalo to marry Bertha, Gonzalo told Bertha to stop her intrigues.

Alejandro promised Florencia he will make Miranda forget about Fabricio. Miranda told Pamela, "Strange that Alejandro is acting interested in my sister."

Fabricio and Cesar argued again about their family's two houses, Fabricio saying he will live in them with Florencia and Rebeca, and Cesar saying he will live in them with Miranda. Fabricio said, "What are you going to do, kill me?" and Cesar said, "If necessary."

Gonzalo told Fernanda he likes to see her tremble, and Fernanda said, "I'm not afraid."

One of Amparo's nephews, Raul, went to his blonde neighbor, Carola, and said (I think) that he wants to join a gang to get money to help his family. She told him this is a bad idea, so he apparently went off on his own to find the gang.

Before leaving on his honeymoon with Florencia, Fabricio hugged Miranda and whispered in her ear, "Wait for me. I'll be back."

Bertha asked Alejandro to take her back to her hotel, and Miranda said sharply, "Alejandro is with me." Bertha said to herself, "We will see who gives the orders."

Miranda told Pamela that she likes Fernanda because she's so pleasant to be around. "So maternal?" Pamela said. Miranda said, "I feel so calm at her side. I am going to investigate her life."

Gonzalo told Renata, "Forget using your credit cards. You have lost my confidence. Next time you take drugs, you are going to a rehab, do you understand?"

Later he told Miranda that Renata has everything a young person could want, "a car, clothes, trips, money, what more does she want?" Miranda said Renata is troubled because she doesn't have a mother. Gonzalo said, "You and Florencia don't take drugs," and Miranda said, "The three of us are very different." Gonzalo broke down and said it was all his fault.

Rebeca asked Fernanda who her protector is, and Fernanda, realizing Rebeca was asking on Gonzalo's behalf, said, "You're so transparent, Rebeca. Tell Gonzalo the man who is protecting me is very rich and powerful!"

Rebeca asked Cesar why he hates Fabricio, and Cesar said, "He's an imbecile and a disgrace. He wants Florencia to be his wife and Miranda his lover. That is your model son!" Rebeca didn't seem to believe him.

That night, Alejandro thought to himself, "I promise you, Florencia. I am going to marry Miranda."
